I don't think your chat knows the difference between a mainstream audience and platforms that are big platforms to some extent but are fairly small in the grand scheme of things and the average American could not tell you anything about them.

That's why it's an echo chamber. Snoop's audience doesn't talk about this at all. You MAY see his old rap fans talking about it but that's not his EXISTING audience. But it's hard to convey stuff like that to viewers. You have to remember these are regular folks. They don't actually work in these fields to know what's what so you have to give them grace. You just can't allow them to dumb you down to their level of lack of experience. Plus, remember, these are people living in the misinformation age with never having been taught what to look for.

I just watched Snoop Dogg's latest Jimmy Kimmel interview from yesterday, January 14th, as of my post. And it has almost ONE MILLION views in LESS than 24 hours. And THAT is your exact point. And guess what? Nobody in the comment section mentions any of the Snoop controversy. Which tells you it's a totally different audience, as you stated.

That's why the black guy commented under her post and didn't see anything wrong with her post. In any other time in history, he would have laughed at her. But he too probably watches sensationalism and can't tell how to identify that type of video vs a video based in reality.
