I know this is a small detail, but I really like how AirBud doesn’t immediately say “I think that game was fake,” but instead goes through the details which felt off to him slowly. It kinda feels like he either cared too much about Beethoven to throw him in the deep end like that, was still processing the revelation of the Airbud movies being fake, or, most likely, some combination of the two. It kinda makes it genuinely feel like these two are at least somewhat friendly with one another. And the fact that level of care is put into a conversation between two humanoid dogs just makes the whole thing a delightful bit of bathos. Sorry if I’m seeing too much in this, I’m just a sucker for good dialogue.

i mean you can still technically do the same with green screen to have the same setting despite being in separate locations, and use proper lighting to keep it consistent, even edit them to be on the screen at the same time (like how you see 1 actor "talking" to their clone or twin without cutting from different scenes/ camera angles)

I totally thought this was about the actual fact that dogs can't see movies movie because they can't recognize low framerates and just see humans look at freeze frames on a box. It's not true nowadays with higher framerates but for movies that still run at around 24fps, it would still appear as a very unappealing slideshow on a big screen
