I like VRods in general and my VRod in particular. To me, the 'Rod represents the motor company's natural progression in engineering. Instead of teensy-weensy steps forward technologically but, basically keeping the same engine for 80 years, H-D finally (in 2002) offered a liquid cooled, 8 valve engine! YAY! One that makes decent power, is smooth, reliable and decent looking. Without a single pushrod in the thing......welcome to the 20th century. Wait! Isn't this the 21st century? I like the Evo motors and twin cams.....but stock are SERIOUSLY underpowered. It was time to give us a choice. It's just about options. Now we can own a big twin AND a revo.....for different moods/styles of riding. H-D wins with both motors....

No disrespect to the Fat Boy, I think they're cool, but there's no way I'd take it over the V-Rod. And I've been on Harleys for a long time (longer than most my friends) so I don't listen to people's opinions on what a "real Harley rider" is. I love my Road King, but I'll never sell my V-Rod.

I wouldn’t trade my Vrod night rod special for anything. I’ve had nothing but Japanese bikes before it and I liked them all, but I love my Vrod more than any of them...it’s the biggest and baddest of them all

This Harley rider is looking for a good deal on a V-Rod street Rod. Was about the perfect bike. I’m riding a street Bob until I find one. I’m very curious about the new custom 1250 or 975 Sportster replacement. I’d be happy to grab an Electra glide if the price were right.

yeah 1500cc of pure 50hp a lot of engine heat you can reach your destination with your hair grown 2 inches longer. last but not the least you have more than one options for your engine internals after 5000 miles when you open it up for fixing.

Fat boys don't have rubber mounts....the engine is counterbalanced internally. All softails are counterbalanced. Dynas and touring have rubber mounts

Vrod has 125hp, Fatboy is 94 hp. No contest, I'll keep my 2013 Vrod. Best HD ever built, Porsche engineered engine. .... btw, my other bike is a Honda Cb1000r

Sadly that specific Harley has the TC88 so roughly 60 hp. Additionally no Porsche did not engineer the VRod engine. It is based off one of their race engines. That said Porsche did help them get the cooling system done right

what makes them "real Harley" guys instead of the V Rod rider? I find when V rods are modified, they often times look futuristic. That tells you V rod riders are okay to change.

Hd bike ever since after ww2 has that culture of modifying the bikes they bring hime after the war, removing the parts they think is not necessary and adding parts that they like thats why the "CHOPPER" is born

i like the custom v-rod looking but the sound is problem for me i want it keep sound like a very loud tractor atleast >65km/h i know harley has fi-tuner but still have not met any v-rod sound like that if not pls give me a link im considering to buy one

"Does the REAL Harley Davidson rider want that from his bike?" Wow. Not even 15 seconds in and you have already showed an extreme bias. This is why HD riders are considered a bunch of backwards hillbillies. I rolled into a town recently while cruising around on my V-Star and noticed a BUNCH of motorcycles gathered. I rode around to check out the scene and got so many dirty looks...they were all Harley Davidson riders. I really like the 2016 Harley V-Rod, but seriously considering the Ducati XDiavel or Yamaha V-Max because I feel so put off about the typical HD rider mentality. Disclaimer: I'm not saying ALL HD riders are like this. However, it is a very noticeable number of them.

Yeah yeah, "real" harley riders can bitch about how the back of my v-rod looks all they want lmao. I love v-rods. Best bike Harley ever made. I really hope they bring it back in some aspect. The Street series is just... it's a sad place for that platform to end up. The Street Rod is kinda fun, though. Either way, hope the v-rod returns. Probably the only Harley I'll bother buying, otherwise I'll probably just get a Rocket 3 or Ducati Diavel or Vmax or something. Muscle cruisers are the shit.

I owned a few of those 650's and the odd 750 , the vrod would be parked and the rider drinking a cold one by the time those other bikes crossed the finish line , except for the magna and a very few others..
