Thank you for the good input. I’ve had my 1st interview as a graduate CSA at Microsoft. As a 3rd year bachelor’s degree Student in IT and digitization with different STEM subjects accompanied by some business subjects I chose for this path earlier. Though I don’t find myself an expert at anything but I like networking & security part. I’m not a dev by dna and don’t desire working with apps. Got my AZ-900 just prior to the 1st interview. Also have 1.5 year sales experience beside my bachelor’s degree in a tech consumer electronics company. Do you think i’m still relevant to landing a CSA grad position or should I specialize within an area?

Hi yrr m4x, first of all congratulations on the interview! From the sounds of things you seem like you're more than adequately suited technically for the role since you have the Az-900 certification already. A sales background definitely helps since you'd have experience working with customers, and the CSA role is within Customer Success/the Customer Success Unit. As per specialisation, you could mention what you're preferences are in the interview but it may depend on what the business demands as to what area you go into. Typically, CSAs are more hands-off and don't need to code which is something you expressed you're not so much into, however you're able to if you want. Bottom line, you don't even need to have the Az-900 to get the graduate role, but you already have it which is great. In terms of degrees, I don't think any graduate in the UK from last year who joined had a degree in computer science either. All the interns that joined last year in the UK though did. i am working as sharepoint onprem administrator should i do a azure cloud architect and become a cloud administrator are should i do powerplatform and microsoft 365 certification, which will be good scope for sharepoint server administrator.
