Great info. You can balance on the balls of your feet but not really balance on the arch or the heel. A significant contribution to your ability to balance the bike and yourself is related to your foot pedal/peg contact. If I'm not on the balls of my feet when doing wheelies or stoppies on a bicycles it will end in a garage sale. The effect of your foot position is more pronounced on a bicycle because there is less angular momentum working for you than on a motorcycle this the reason I can cover the rear brake on the motorcycle but not able to move my foot forward on the bicycle when having a wheelie nice time.

This is very helpful! Where do you set the brake pedal engagement, level with the peg or below?

great question, and it will completely depend on whatever is the most comfortable for you. ideally it's slightly above the pedal when nuetral and semi relaxed.

Absolutely. Basically same same except more front brake. I now think of everything as supermoto technique, and then go from there to adapt a bit to mx, sportbike, adventure, etc. It's all just motorbiking

It looks like You all use dirtbike boots. I just bought my first supermoto but I haven't had the chance to go to the track and try it out yet. However i only have a pair of sport bike boots (top end Spidis). Would those work well enough or is there a technical or safety advantage of getting another type of boot for supermoto?

Ankle injuries are by far the most common, and mx boots are plain ol better protection. That said you are welcome to use your rr boots and if you listen you won't be crashing anyway! :)
