What do Muslims do on Eid?

Eid ul-Adha, or the "Festival of Sacrifice," is an important Islamic holiday marking Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to God. Celebrated worldwide, it includes special prayers, feasts, and the ritual sacrifice of an animal, with the meat shared among family, friends, and the needy. It coincides with the end of the Hajj pilgrimage and falls on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the final month of the Islamic lunar calendar.
