Indian muslims even fought against british empire after WW1 to bring back ottoman empire back during 1918-21.. as ottoman sultan was consider as caliph by indian muslims....the movement was called khilafat movement, atleast in some places indian muslims even killed hindus to establish pure sharia calipate in parts of india, as it beacme clear british is not going to bring back ottoman calipha in turkey and Attaturk established modern secular turkey ...that's why indian muslims love turkey and Erodgan so much, as they think Erodgan will turn turkey back to caliphate and strong glory islamic empire..
