I’m obsessed with playing Loki. I’ve always loved the bad guys and he fits me so well. I’m casual and terrible aim but I know how to make a villainous exit. I love his clones and how it messes people up. I used to play Shang Tsung all the time in MK and Loki just makes me thing of him, especially with the ult and learning all the characters.

Tbh the only fair big criticism of Marvel Rivals is just how insanely unoptimized it is. I play Overwatch 2 and it's extremely fluid and I never have performance issues. EVER. I play Marvel Rivals and I need to look up an ultra specific settings guide just to still get really bad framedrops sometimes. Even if the game is flat out better than Overwatch (it is) it won't matter if people can't play it. It won't matter which game is better if one game is playable and fluid and the other can't even get you 60 fps.

I mean, it's pretty solid. The community is still trying to figure it out. But I think once a solid player base forms, it's gonna be a good go to in order to blow off steam. Overwatch tends to stress me out with how rough the player base can be, either from your team being bad/uncoordinated, or the enemy team having someone who's like a grandmaster. Rival's is fun because there's nothing serious to it yet and matches go by really fast. I'm more likely to play Rivals to unwind.

I was so ready for marvel rivals, but when i tried it it just felt so simple. like the character's ability kits just didn't feel very thought through or complex/interesting to play as and against compared to overwatch, apex legends, team fortress 2 and even paladins. It's fun, but i don't feel accomplished or like i've done something when i get a kill, capture a point or even win a match. The game's visuals scream soul, but the gameplay feels so nothing.

Been an Overwatch fan since early 2017, loved it, started hating the game around the time GOATS became a thing, quit the game around 2019, tried getting back into it with OW2, but eventually quit again. Marvel Rivals sorta reminds me of the early days of OW1, where the meta wasn't awful and cuz of that I'd say it completely shits on modern day OW in practically every single way. The art style, the character roaster, it all feels like something that's been missing from OW since goats and I hope the Chinese don't fuck the game up the way Blizzard has.

I’m loving marvel rivals but all this OW hate is pissing me off. I get why people have been mad at OW hell I’ve been one of those people mad at OW but I still enjoy the game for what it is. At the end of the day, it took forever to get even average at overwatch- I’m not good at gaming and I dread the idea of starting from scratch again. I’m plat 3 after like three years of playing (on and off- i just got back from taking two seasons off) and plat is like the “point and laugh at this loser” rank on the internet I feel like- just outside the rank what high level players believe is full of literal children. I’m just not in the market for a new hero shooter (let alone another multiplayer game in general), nor am I the target audience. We’ll see- I’m going to try it out soon and if I’m pleasantly surprised, so be it. I’m already tied between three other multiplayer games as well as some singleplayer games too- I just am busy enough to where it’s essentially going to have to replace another game, but I’m already enjoying all my other games.

It’s super fun, but the glazing is unreal. It very literally is an Overwatch clone. Theres NO chance for a competitive meta, the game is wildly unbalanced, and is mostly inaccessible for casual players. I give it a year, maybe two. Once again, it’s super fun, but Overwatch unfortunately is still a better and more polished version of this formula.

It’s super fun, but the glazing is unreal. It very literally is an Overwatch clone. Theres NO chance for a competitive meta, the game is wildly unbalanced, and is mostly inaccessible for casual players. I give it a year, maybe two. Once again, it’s super fun, but Overwatch unfortunately is still a better and more polished version of this formula.

@@possumwithacowboyhat5140 yeah I honestly agree, overwatch is better, but rivals is more fun. Whether that is mostly because it’s just new, we’ll have to see

@ rivals is absolutely more fun, but was REALLY hoping it would be enough to kill off other hero shooters for a while
