Some of my New Year's resolutions; and actually, I am in near constant transformation throughout the year... Anyway, here's some things that I'll be working on: Vices. I've cut out alcohol since Nov of 2021; and made an oath to avoid it completely for 5 years to see what kind of positive changes I might go through in that time. I've seen a ton. At the moment, I'm cutting out porn for 3 months so that I can retain my energy and turn it toward more creative pursuits. I've decided to follow Sylvester Stalone's regimen of eating healthy for 5 days a week and then taking a break for that for 2 days. I think I could keep this up for a life time. Cutting back on spending in order to save for investments towards my own home, land and other investments. There are many more; but I know the power of focus. It's about ORGANIC INTEGRATION of HABITS and ROUTINES OR RITUALS. When you spread yourself too thin with too many goals; or goals that stretch you TOO much; then you won't be able to make them stick. I'm of the belief that you can change dramatically over a year and even more over a period of 5 years; if you just know what you want and make tiny changes every day in one to three core areas of your life. Eventually, you learn to build the habit OF change and transformation. For a lot of people this is kind of scary; but it doesn't have to be. Anything that you practice over and over again... you become accustomed to. I've practiced slight change and transformation for decades; and because of that... I don't worry about whether I can do it or if I'll fail... if I do... I just try again, pivot, learn from my mistakes, try again and again and again, and again.... until I eventually master something. People are taught this idea that failure is bad. That you shouldn't cheat in school. We become embarrassed whenever we fail in public. We don't want to look foolish; but if you were to practice what CIRCUS PERFORMERS do... you'd eventually learn to fall in love with the process of incremental improvement which eventually leads to instances of quantum leaping every now and again. This is the real secret to success. To redefine failure and success as simply DEGREES OF ATTAINING A RESULT THAT YOU WANT.
