We were so shielded from the world during communism, we were starving for cultures different than our own. I’m glad to see you in the place where I first saw my first black person, by the uni. My mom worked at that cofetarie. I was 6 I first saw an African student and I did stare. When the war ends and Ukraine wins, an independent military alliance should be promoted between Romania, Ukraine and Poland, the 3 countries have common areas culturally and are the strongest militarily in Eastern Europe. Shortly after the Spanish empire would lose the few colonies it had left If Ukraine had fallen, I am sure that the Russians would not have stopped there and would try to invade both your country and Poland (and the small countries around it), so the support they have been giving to Ukraine is appreciated, although it is not so direct, every bullet, rifle and equipment helps stop the genocidal army. I'm so dissapointed that even iin Hungary there is more support from the public opinion for Ukraine than in Romania, according to recent surveys. Only in Bulgaria, Cyprus and Island there is a less supportive public opinion than in Romania, when speaking about european countries. After decades of suffering under the russian boots and while complaining that they were abandoned by the West in all that times, there are still so many supporters of that pro-russian party named AUR there. And the saddest part is that it was not even a surprise when I found this, because I know werry well about how poorly educated and how low morale a very large part of the population there they are. I spend almost half of every year in Romania and I can see the progress that was made since the accession to the EU and this is an undeniabile fact that there is a huge one, but there is still much much more to be done there till I will be able to consider Romania a civilised country. And I don't consider civilisation in terms of technological or economical progress, but only in terms of social, civic and morale attitude. And that being said, I must add now that I cannot consider even USA or even Germany (where I live the other half of tbe year) as civilised countries in terms of social, civic and moral attitude. But anyway, Russia is in my opinion on the lowest bottom of the ranks.
