1:48 I don't blame this girl, if you listen to what she says she only went to little India on her cultural walk for school, and found the place underdeveloped for her expectations, which is also to her, unsatisfactory. If anything this speaks more about her upbringing - I'm guessing sheltered, comfortable, and lacking cultural exposure. If you ask me one thing I hate about Singapore it's this - the income inequality and the brazen ignorance of some that their lived experiences is 'normal' when majority Signaporeans live with less. But alas these 'some' will still follow their parents footsteps to become successful, lead the country and just widen the inequality even further

I've worked in Japanese companies in Sg. The management are mostly from the Japan Headquarters. So get to interact and work with them. They follow hierarchy quite strictly and also punctuality is very impt. If late one minute for work can deduct money~ I see them overtime sometime. Usually the director will leave office first then the employees will leave. Another thing I've found is that they can be quite resistant to change, such as using the old and tried method. Instead of embracing new tech It may not be as rosy as you think it is. But then there are good points whereby you get to enjoy the Japanese food like sweet potatoes airflowned in here because the colleagues brought it here. and also know about interesting Japanese cultures and their language

As someone who as lived in many countries due to family work reasons, I think Australia is a really nice place to live. There is always a lot of fresh produce, the air is pretty clean and the people there are extremely friendly (Living in Sydney and Canberra) . But South Korea would come in a close second. Myself been to Australia and also above 25, i felt that the complexities of what I saw like open peaceful demonstration in Sydney on issues like China's abuse on Uighur ethnic minorities can be expressed in the form of peaceful demonstrations in Australia, and it is a arrestable offence in Singapore (due to the fact Singapore prohibit such activities which in my opinion i do not agree on that but the government has their reasons on why they prohibit such activities due to acts to prevent "foreign interference" to Singapore's domestic affairs).

What I hate about living in Singapore is that I can't own a car forever because is a tiny ass island and cars tend to be expensive and I have no choice but to take transportation like a peasant while our politicians can ride any car as long as is luxury and there is security always following them. Secondly I have to waste 2 years of my life not because I'm lazy or not a men, it's about how much opportunities i lost and is like as if i owe them a living. They think our goals and ambition is not important and I feel bad for some boys who come from a poor backgrounds family they got no choice but work outside of camp especially like food deliveries. Thirdly we don't have fresh produce, most of our produce comes from our neighboring countries like Malaysia and Indonesia.

@@Emsyaz Chinese people are actually very nice if you have the chance to interact with them. They are friendly and especially if you are a Chinese, they see you as part of them even if you are a Singaporean. I live abroad in a western country and my closest friends are from China. My friendship with them are one of the closest and cannot compare to the friendship I have here in SG. The problem with Singaporeans is that we go hating Chinese people without even having have the chance to interact and understand them in the first place. All we have are stereotypes of Chinese based on social media and then we go hate them based on these stereotypes and assumptions. However, go and actually speak to them and understand them as humans - you will see that they are friendly, down-to-earth, and non-assuming people. Back then when I was younger around 2013 or 2014 it was very relaxed, there was not alot of security camera throughout the place even my hdb void deck and lift didn't have camera too. The only places that have too many cameras back then was train station,Airport, mall, banks and goverment buildings and it was late 2013 or late 2014 that the gahmen decided to increase camera everywhere.

35 yrs old uncle here. There's really no other places better than Singapore. We are just so fortunate to be born and live here. Think of another place like us that has no natural disaster. Think of another place that has minimal corruption in government. Think of another place that women and elderly can walk the streets at night without getting robbed and raped. Think of another place that allows you to climb out of poverty so long as you study real hard and finish university Think of another place that you don't have to worry about food and roof over your head. There are really alot other countries that we can identify for the individual statement above. But to think of one country that has all the above, Singapore is the one and only that is in my mind. We are real lucky. And that's why we ought not to look down on others who come here to work as maid, cleaners, construction workers etc. They have no such privilege as us in Singapore. What makes us think our success is merely due to our hard work than luck?

Just a personal opinion (you can disagree to agree or agree to disagree as to each own opinions), I noticed no one mentioned about the issues we Singaporeans (myself a Singaporean), was certain issues like free speech in overseas (for mycase I went to Australia), whereby apart from known to have chill lifestyle than Singapore, I feel that few things I hate about Singapore is the lack of freedom of speech given that we are ranked "partial free" according to U.S.-based Freedom in the World as 3/7, with 1 as most free and 7 as not free. Another thing I hated about Singapore was the public order act, as the act did curtail the ability to have peaceful demonstrations (which if you have gone to open and free countries like Australia, New Zealand, Canada, United Kingdom, United States and notably some European countries), you will realise how open and expressive the people are when expressing their discourse to the government even through peaceful demonstrations. I disagree that China is the better place to go to, given their notoriety of their human right abuses on the Uighur muslim minorities, and I do not stand for the people whom are similar to me in terms of ethnicity, what's more their suppression on Tibet are also concerns of treatments of these ethnic minorities, especially those interviewed looks younger than 25, and I don't find the answers genuine as most of them do not have much exposures compared to interview those above 25.

Does reveal that some young adults are arrogant, self-important, inconsiderate and entitled. Decades of good times have bred weak and soft young people. Singaporeans complain about the price of everything but know the value of nothing. The majority of these undergrads do not need to work part-time to contribute to rent. They do not help with any chores or housework, nor do they contribute to household expenses. Citizens who live in public housing can have foreign worker servants to clean up their mess and pick up after them. And singaporeans cannot even wipe their arse without help from foreign workers. Isn't that entitled and dependent?

prefer rainy weather than singapore weather? he obviously never go london before. the rainy weather there is like drizzle which can last the whole damn day. plus with the temperature the drizzling is cold AF. and once you get indoors its hot AF because of how they regulate the temperature indoors to be a comfortable warm one (opposite of singapore, where indoors we regulate it to be COLD).

I think it will be dining experience here . Sometime , Even you go to restaurant , and paying for the service , the service is bad and crowded . Most famous shop need to wait long queue jut to get a seat Most time , even if i want to ask something and ask the waiter, they are not happy if you ask more than once . Not to blame the staff . Most restaurant are under staffed due to not much Singaporean wanting to work in service. And i cant afford to dine in less crowded , top star restaurant everyday. Even in hawker , the seller are very rude & impatient .

Singapore is changing worse I think. Back in 2004 Singapore was such a beautiful and peaceful city. Now it is overcrowded and expensive to live in. No wonder Singaporean leaving Singapore more and more. I lived in Singapore for 5 year from 2004-2009. It was the best Singapore, not Singapore nowadays.

Because only 30,000+ citizen babies born annually while 20,000+ older singaporeans die every year. Nature/God distributes talents unequally and unfairly, right? So only 30% of each cohort will grow up into rational, productive working adults. The rest are average, mediocre or duds. Are you a craftsman or top performer in your job? Are your kids? Are your parents excellent at their career? How many of your friends are top professionals or successful business owner?
