The catgirl seems the easiest to play for me. Question why would you need more than 1 grade 3 of the rideline? I've bought 6 boxes on sale and I really know nothing about the rideline stuff and in the rrr slot I think I'd just need the catgirl and a playset of a grade 2 in the rrr slot

You know, back when the ride lines for Lyrical Monasterio were being revealed, I thought to myself, “These are cool deck concepts, but I think I’ll stick with the deck I have.” Then they revealed Clarissa. Being a Narukami main, I immediately felt the NEED to build Clarissa. Am I willing to buy the LSPs or LSRs (whichever rarity it is, I don’t remember)? I don’t know, but I do know that I am FOR SURE building Clarissa! I can’t wait till my local(ish) card shop gets this set!

I hated the school girls theme as well. I much prefer them in Mermaid form as it added mystique blending Cray. But, yeah, the 3000 years timeskip blah blah blah. Lastly, it pissed me off when they revealed the Mermaid form is a higher rarity.

There are merits to playing both wings. Having Black Wings for defensive and disruption and White Wings to end games. Throwing off your opponent is the key i believe

@@tylerclapp9422 Pretty good to deal with matchups, if your opponent is playing Vairina, go for black wings then end the game with white. Needs a lot of testing to get the right ratios and combinations but I think this could be a lot of fun and really cool.

So I thought about building a loronerol deck. But Clarissa does sound interesting and I am going to check if I have any cards that support her.

The 5 nations each share some common themes between their ride lines, Stoicheia likes rapid field calling, DE retires stuff, Dark States soulcharges, Brandt Gate Set Orders, and Keter to some extent profits from drive checking. Lyrical Monasterio is the hardest to pinpoint an overall theme.

Coincidentally, some lyrical decks has a semblance of similarities with other nations'. Magnolia multi atk = Feltyrosa ghost multi atk Orfist world set order = Loronerol songs Zorga order spam = Wilista gem / ore Stretching things a bit, Clarissa has a semblance of control style and consistency of DE decks. Kairi is the legacy playstyle from old Bermuda Triangle of multi atk via bounces. Black / White wings is the unique one of the bunch.

@@dargoid yep to me it seems like Lyrical Monasterio is less of a nation and more of a combination of all the other nations where each of these leading girls first off are races that can traced to other nations and also have playstyle a similar to another. I wouldn’t be surprised if the lore is actually that these girls all started in other nations and were invited here to an all girls school which is why there’s only girls here

Yo nice!! I actually didn't expect much LM coverage since you had some vids on the jp set before, but I'm really happy to see this! I really wanna figure out how to pilot Kairi+Ghosts properly, but it's been hard to find a profile/guidance on it since she's not one of the bigger decks from the set.

You want Ernesta on both of the columns. Call Elis to right and any Ghost (Indrid/Annelise/Eleonore even if u can afford the SB) to left. Boost and swing with left(1st atk), Ghost disappears. Boost with Aerith(2nd atk) and CB1 to superior call another Ghost, restanding Ernesta. Swing with that Ghost(3rd atk) but DO NOT boost(you can but you have to do the next few steps differently). Swing with VG(4th atk), SB1 to return both front row RGs to hand. Superior call Aerith to the column with the Ernesta that can still boost, and call Heilwig to the RG behind VG to use her skill if you have her. Boost with Elis(5th atk), and CB1 to superior call another Ghost, restanding Ernesta. Boost with that Ghost(6th atk). In total you get 4 boosted atks, one normal atk, and on VG atk. Trigger wise I reccomend running 8 draws because unlike Felty you actually lose hand size using your ghosts and you really need to draw into your pieces including persona ride. The whole reason you run Ghosts IMO is for Ernesta, since restanding boosts are huge and is something we see in BT Prism decks that run Nectaria, a V deck with the same bounce playstyle. As a deck in a whole you are a Turn 4 deck so if you go first any Turn 3 deck like Bastion will hit you hard, while if you go second and other Turn 4 deck like Loronerol(with their ridiculous 60k 2 crit PG restricts) will pretty much end you. Without persona ride your presence drops alot as you can only fish out 5 slightly weaker attacks. Even then without drawing into your pieces you dont do much. Edit: Jap player didnt know Aerith translated differently LOL

@@Aquazeem D balancing is non existent, I play Kairi as well and never managed to took a game off Bruce/Bastion/Loronerol except crit/OT sacking. Espescially Loronerol, 60k 2crit PG restrict is the most disgusting thing ever existed considering how OT is a thing, literally guarded 80k with 8 cards and lost cause the player pulled OT. That said, if you like mermaids and bouncing I highly reccomend you try out Prisms from Bermuda Triangle in V, its the broken meta deck right now that destroys everyone except other broken decks with their 14 card handsize tanking every single thing in history. Dont be discourage by what I said, play what you like and you can definitely take wins off decks that are not ridiculously broken

@@starbound100 For real. My biggest thing is that after 3 years, Bushi *finally* fixed the going first issue in Vemium. Only to turn around and make the exact same mistake in Standard, again. Bushi unironically thinks that a single extra draw for player 2 makes up for player 1 getting their grade 3 Vanguard *and* Rearguard skills first(since Standard decks run a lot of powerful grade 3 rearguards thanks to the safety of the Ride Deck), getting twin drive first, *and* getting to Persona Ride first.

IMO, the theme of Lyrical Monasterio is basically, "If you wanted to play other nation but with cute school girls, play this nation." I hated it. It does not have any focus unique for its clan and I see that as a problem in the future in terms of support and playability. The set felt squeezed together.

It's not a clan. It's a nation, with groups/ride lines within the Nation doing its own thing. The hand bouncing and ghost strats are unique to their respective ride lines. Which are not focuses in other ridelines in the Nation or in other nations.

Not sure how is it a problem in support and playability. They work exactly like Bermuda Triangle(I mean lorewise LM=BT), having one support per year in exchange of having the whole booster set to themselves(they get 5x more supports in one go) Also Nations dont mean shit, come on we all knew that literally one ride line feels so different in other ride lines whether it is Orfist and Seraph or Magnolia and Zorga they dont even use the same supports.

I don’t really see the problem at all. The way they are right now is in such a way so that LM can have many different unique playstyles thus making them one of the most creative nations out of them all. Also at least in OD format all of these mechanics are very unique only to LM so I even further don’t get the complaints
