What do urban design students do?

In addition to listening, analyzing, and working digitally, this video captures the spirit of studio work: drawing, collaborating, re-drawing, discovering, re-re-drawing, testing, re-re-re-drawing to produce integrated proposals connecting layered systems to build community, connectivity, ecology, and health.

This is a Public-Space framework diagram that serves as a tool for students to grasp the current context of a particular area. The students here are identifying and mapping out elements such as streets, roadways, water bodies to gain a better understanding of the built and unbuilt components of the area before embarking on any urban design interventions.
