I can relate to what they said about judging airsoft, I'm ex military and I was deployed 4 times in my career, so it was hard at the start but know I love it, also yeah knees and back are wrecked, gents thanks for your input and enjoy. But as for anyone who hasn't had military experience airsoft is a big life computer game but it is different for anyone who was deployed to do this.

Shooting at anything shooting back at you is always training. And doing it puts a little of what war is into the eyes of the players and they can relate more to war than any movie can engage you in.

These two guys represent the best, true gentlemen, thanks for your service to our country. Also, where's Josef? It would have been nice to have both you Chris and Josef throwing questions around.

I have seen some 14-16 year olds which were way more mature then some so called 'Adults'. Depends on the field and the type of game play.

In my experience, airsoft rage and controversy is usually in CQB and indoor fields. This is why I prefer outdoor (with buildings)

Re: the Vice doco. I think MSW used NATO vs. Russia, for example, to give their events more meat. It's much funner than dividing into random teams and shooting each other over two days. Edit: I think MSW's founder, Joshua Warren, served in Afghanistan with the Rangers. Past the practicalities of bringing enough correct gear, his experiences are going to influence his events a bit more intensely.

Where are these guys from in the US? Maybe we can help them get into some airsoft in their area. Introduce them to really nice GBBR’s and Custom GBBP’s! Big 1:1 full metal replicas and SMGs!

In Norway you can play as a 16th year old, but you cannot own a softgun and you have to be supervised by an adult.

It always sucks to see anyone trying to make politics out of an anthill, but people who seriously milsim to the point of near realism should at least be thinking about what they are doing instead of "here for fun", even real steel boys with blank fires are pushing the "hobby". But those who use it as actual therapy are also real, watching actual Vietnam vets tell of their real combat experiences while playing recreated ops in ARMA is an education in itself, so taking good (and the bad i guess?) is just a reality.

I’ve never understood the mindset of seeing people enjoying the hobby of airsoft and telling them to stop and just buy a real gun or join the military. Like I don’t go to videos about larp/cosplay events and tell people to stop enjoying wacking each other with foam swords and just stab their buddies with real ones, visit a lightsaber club and tell them to quit so they can join some far eastern monastery to let go of their worldly attachments, or scoff at some kid for playing with model rockets instead of just joining nasa. I’m glad these two were able to grow up past that but holy cow there are so many real steel fanboys with that sub middle school mindset that feel the need to behave that way it’s very disappointing.
