Well said. Too many untrained, or poorly trained people say things like 'just run away, just hold them down, verbally de-escalate, just do XYZ.' They mistakenly think that an attacker is going to abide by the same moral code as they do, and that violence is easy to control. Asking a dangerous person to calm down before they hurt someone won't help at all if their goal is to severely hurt or kill. Unfortunately you can be forced to enter into a fight for your life, and if you aren't prepared to match that intent you are in serious danger.

It's almost like Believing that Self-Defense is an actual thing (and that many people will need in their lifetime) might make you better at being able to react quickly & tactically appropriate. I believe my Breakdowns have been fair, and Yes, I do believe myself, and even Wing Chunner Master Wong would have done better...mindset, quicker reactions of violent counter attacks, attributes etc. etc. & being able to show people what works how to defend themselves quickly and appropriately is very important.

@@maddenboseroy4074 I'm ready, Rokas says I would hurt someone...hurt..perhaps...Injure..NO...I've done Martial Arts 37 yrs and was a sparring partner to Top Pro Fighters, Been through live fire SWAT w people crossing and instructors tripping you. So I guess it's up to Rokas or Jeff. I'm literally employed to actually Protect People and Kids.

Thank you for the video. It might be interesting to have the contest held in other countries with the context of the local self-defense laws. I saw Rokas’ recent video on the USDC. Sorry I did not know you battled cancer. Well I’m glad it’s in remission right now. I’m battling colon cancer and undergoing chemo. Our assistant pastor, battled Hodgkin’s disease as a 14-year-old. He kind of reminds me of sensei Seth. I’m glad you and Rokas work to bring this championship and make it a reality.

I guess the weird thing is physically I’m apparently improving. Emotionally I’m more like Eeyore. a lady from England said I used to look “bloody awful” but now I look normal or close to normal. Still get tired though. But at least I can walk and go visiting places, though, not as much as I’d like.

@@guytakamatsu7326 no doubt it changed me a bit but not the essence of who I am. I’m getting back there and won’t stop til I do. Like any challenge laid down, I’ll give it a red hot go!

1. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWnMYZ-eraaYapI 2. I'm surprised no one's called on you to do action film fight choreography. I seriously think you would demystify fighting in Hollywood.
