Matt this is great stuff! Diving deeper and deeper into the roles of each member of an IB team and the type of work you do. This answers a lot of questions. Unfortunately, this raises some more questions. Most the advising part of the business model here seems to overlap with the Corporate Finance and Strategy practices at MBB and the advising practices at Big 4 accounting firms. Obviously the IB's are needed to help with raising capital (IPO, debt, etc), but the advising piece of the business seems like a lot of competition between banks, consulting, and accounting. I guess I know where the rivalry (real or imaginary) between consulting and IB comes from!! Cheers

My question are: 1.Which BBA is better to get into IB ; FINANCE or CS?Does CS tends to get easily hired comparatively? 2.Will it be helpful if I take BBA in computer engineering and Master in Finance in any way? 3.I want to be in IB but related to real estate , any advice on that? 4.Which divisions get you a lot of experiences related to finance?
