It depends on your expenses. But on average. If you’re alone and good at budgeting, it would be: 600-800chf rent 40-80chf electricity and water bill 250-350chf health insurance 500-750chf groceries 80-350chf transportation expenses (only for trains, not for owning a car) 25-80chf internet 11.90chf netflix 😅 And these are just really basic things. If you eat out, then it’s more. If you get a haircut its 60-80chf. If you get your nails done 40-60chf and more.

Oooh... New York sounds like an interesting choice but generally, I would choose Switzerland. Because of nature, health care, its quiet, safe, and a lot of reasons. I mean, don’t get me wrong, New York is great but ...maybe for visiting...? 🤷🏻‍♀️ atm, I am a student here and the education is wayyy more cheaper here. 1000$ per semester for a bachelor’s degree and btw, I used to live in Chicago before I moved here. 😅 so there’s your answer.

All. It’s because of the salaries here. They are high.. ex. working at mcdonald’s is around 20$ per hour.
