Dear Kevin I hope you see this. I’ve been watchin your channel for years and love it. Even my woman loves it too. This all began about 9 days ago and one of my male ball pythons had a prolapsed cloaca!!!! I watched a video you did around 3 years ago on this. Believe it or not I watched it again the night before this happened, crazy!!!! My boy had been having different, odd poops than he normally has. We have a small collection of about 80 bps. They are checked on the daily. Well Franklin was havin a bad day when we found him. When we found him I freaked out!!! Flyin around the house about 100mph. I drew him a warm bath with plenty of chlorhexidine in it. We soaked him for I don’t know how long( it was as long as it was needed!!) and did debridement to the very best I could!! And he was almost back to normal!!! We did a minor sugar bath, which finished the retraction of his cloaca. He was rinsed thoroughly, I put plenty of Neosporin on him, of course changed his paper towels which we use. The fresh paper towel was wet, not soppin wet but enough for what he needed. I am happy to tell you that he is doin fantastic and back to his normal zippy self!!! We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!!! We check the animals in the evenin and the vet wasn’t open so because of the knowledge that you imparted upon us, we have a beautiful, back to normal Spotnose happy little boy!!!!! Thank you so much!!!! I don’t care what anybody says about you when you share videos like this!! The knowledge that you shared with us saved our boy!!! Thank you so very much Mr. Kevin McCurley!!!! You rock man!!!!! Richard, Mel and Franklin

Why not Bananas? My mom probably gave some to hers. I had an alligator snapping turtle for brother for several years on the farm. That was back in the 60's. I was born in 59. If mom could have kept him in town she would have. My brothers happened on a nest and he was the only survivor. So, mom raised him. He adored my mom. She fed him bits of fish and lots of vegetable and fruit scraps. He got huge quick. They can and do bond with their human. If an alligator snapper loves you, you gotta be special. .

I have a really hard time understanding why this channel doesn’t get more views and just loving general. As a fellow animal lover, Kevin’s knowledge, care and love for all animals is what draws me in every time. I’m not sure if there is another KZbinr that I respect more than Kevin. I watch a lot of KZbin! And I love a lot of different creators of many genres and I respect plenty of them, Emily and Ed at Snake Discovery, Kenan, Plus a couple of others, but for how much I see Kevin doing everything he can, not only for his own animals, but also for the local wildlife, he just inches past the others I mentioned, as I know they also do a lot to help every animal that they can. Perhaps it’s also because I know he feels the same way as me about animals and humans. ☺️🙏🏼🌸

The new builds look so nice, Kevin!!! Isn't it neat what you lean about your animals when you give the something new- be it a piece of food of a slightly new environment, or something new to interact with, they can always surprise you....if a tube of silicone is too old I feel like the chemicals separate a bit or that batch wasn't mixed properly, though it will cure eventually it will take month or years( I've seen it take 4years+ to cure due to poor mixing) and that's just a horrible gooey mess to deal with, a nightmare to to try to clean up...UGH!!! you should squeeze out a sample bead( I know it's a pain in the but when you're doing stuff but do it right when you get wherever with your tube that's a similar environment just see if it starts to cure... you'll know in like 6 hours if it stays gooo or starts to harden while you're cleaning goo then you can return the goo one's because they are faulty!!! you shouldn't have to pay for those.(if you haven't already, any ways) And it was good to see your little female is healing! she's still a little rough, but the tail looks really good, and trust me I know my wound care!!! and she's shedding all over, which + healing and new tissue growth, so that's great too!and she's got the " you've been doing stuff I don't like like giving me shots, and touching my tail- which was medicating and wound care, it's the hard part of treating animals that I try so hard to concentrate my thought & energy in hopes they will at least be a little less afraid and understand I'm only doing these thing to help them get better so they can heal, and that I never would wantingly want to harm them- I just want to help, to heal, and medicine is a necessary evil that will help them not get sicker so SOOOOooo sorry for the stick, but I care. And hope they forgive me someday when they feel better....It's better to gave an animal that's healthy enough to be grumpy with you that a happy animal too weak to hold up it's head. And she look's like she's doing great! And this is actually why I started watching you, this channel to being with, I wanted to learn more about helping reptiles when we got that call at work I was already the go to for info about small mammals and birds, and hated that i didn't know much for scaly friends...I wanted to treat every animal- EVERY animal. Because I know what it was like to 5+ vets and none of them will to even look at your pet because they didn't think it was worth their time or a "real" while your pet was gravely ill and all you wanted was someone to help it and if they couldn't help then at least end their suffering if their really wasn't any that could be done. That was one of the reasons I got into medicine and became a licensed technician. You are a great sources of information, I even went through a bunch of your old videos about treating they are fantastic and so helpful!!! and I thank you for everything you are doing and trying to do!!!

I love this! As far as feeding plant material to alligator snapping turtles, I don't remember where I first learned that they eat a good amount of plant material in the wild, but of course, people think they know everything and I'm sure the reputation these creatures have plays a part in people thinking they are truly meat-hungry monsters. This is one of my dream animals. I'm so glad your black dragon is doing well. I hope all of your animals are, but as far as this video... everything I've seen you do since I started watching your videos is incredible. The information in one of your videos helped me when one of my male bearded dragons had a prolapse during the evening hours. Combined with some of my own knowledge and experience, his prolapse was reversed by my amazing veterinarian and her team, and with no necrotic tissue. Thank you! I agree with what you said about the relationship with a veterinarian. I really recommend having multiple veterinarians, especially for large collections, if possible. For example, I have two local veterinary offices I work with, plus when needed, I have worked with a specialist/specialists in another state, as well as the 24 hour/emergency animal hospital, also in another state. The hospital always has an exotic specialist on-call. I'm always looking for more because you never know what might happen when, as you know. I recommend this for people with any amount and type of animals. I'm always on the lookout for additional veterinarians, even in other states nearby. My main veterinarian's office opened an after-hours urgent care a while back, and my exotic vet is one of the doctors who works it. I've seen people travel, desperate to find someone for their pet, and ended up there. Far less expensive than emergency hospitals, too. It's good to know and to be able to pass on the info that their pets, their family, are in amazing and qualified hands.
