Hey man, thanks for the video. I think it's underrated when people talk about work-life balance in such a kill-throat profession such as pro basketball. I wonder tho what your take is for developing players looking to make it to the league? Because in my opinion, Jokic is truly an anomaly in every way, from his personality, lack of traditional athleticism, play style, and his relationship to basketball. Do you think players who have great work life balance (therefore giving plenty of hours throughout their amateur or professional career) can have an equal likelihood of success as those who don't (such as the Jordan and Kobe's of the world)?

@@vanisle_kahunaJordan did take a mid-career break to become an amateur baseball player, another sincere interest Jordan had. Lil similar to Jokic who uses time off to race horses, a likewise sincere interest. The odd thing with Jokic vs Kobe or Jordan (KJ) it seems KJ appeared far more dedicated on order to be great. Whereas basketball appears to come more naturally to Jokic to the point he seems almost bored or annoyed, he’s a slick character though. The part that wasn’t touched on here, as part of his mental & physical breaks from NBA what benefit could be had as far as performance & career longevity go.

Fun fact: Aaron Gordon broke Nuggets season dunk record last year. They should go for league record this year, and ya know the other “stat padding” triple doubles hahaha

@@TrggrWarning Fair point about MJ but do you think Jokic's approach to basketball (aka work-life balance) is something that can be replicated to other hoopers who are trying to make it to the league or play at an all star level? Or is the Jordan-Kobe mentality/approach to the game still the best way to go in terms of reaching a higher level of play? Cuz to me it sounded like you resonated more with my point of how Jokic is an outlier in terms of his feel for the game and how he lets it come to him. Therefore, this work-life balance that Jokic embodies isn't a luxury that all players can have because the game doesn't come as easily to other players 🤔

@@vanisle_kahuna aspects are replicable perhaps even advisable but he’s also an anomaly, talent wise. So for another to follow those footsteps somewhat closely & result in anything similar? I think, maybe not impossible but highly unlikely.

One play that changed the world's point of view on Jokic. The last second 3 pointer over Anthony Davis. And I gotta give credit to Davis for showing his joy of having seen that up close. Not being pissed, just being a real basketball fan.

In the last month, I have not met a single person who does not admit that Jokic is the best player in the world. You have chosen the most serious and important profession that exists. I hope that the new generation of doctors will regain the reputation that their older colleagues have lost in the last three years. I will not argue with anyone on this topic. I was just voicing the opinion of a huge number of people. Great video and I wish you the best of luck, for the sake of all of us!

A few comments . . . the Joker's slightly slower, deliberate, under control playing style may be the reason he is as available to play as he has been and may reduce the risk of serious injury as he gets older. Secondly, by all reports he is well liked by his teammates and is a real asset for locker room collegiately. Finally, unlike some other super stars, there is no drama associated with the Joker. He just does the preparation needed to succeed and shows up to win.

Great video but let’s be very clear about this: Joker does treat the NBA like a 9-to-5 now, my guess is bc of the unfair, xenophobic treatment he gets nowadays - he was more fun-loving and open to interviews earlier in his career - that makes him anxious to get home to his safe space😢). BUT he has a fiercely competitive mindset and he works incredibly hard to make the legendary things he does look easy. He is constantly improving his game, humble and willing to put in the work to overcome his weaknesses. He is casually destroying records of NBA legends like Wilt Chamberlain and putting up video game numbers, while the league shrugs it off and focuses on their chosen ones. But he is DOMINANT. So yes, be passionate about and committed to your crafts (especially when it involves patient care!) while also seeking a healthy personal life. The pursuit of both creates a beautiful synergy indeed. And also, create a healthy, enjoyable professional (work/school) environment with each other, so that people don’t have to feel like they want to run away from work to find peace in their personal lives! After they won the chip 🏆, yeah Joker was immediately in “Job is done. We can go home now” mode 😆 but, once he got to experience the true adoration from our entire city, i think he truly did “focking want to stay on parade!” 😂🃏🥹 Make work places non-toxic, have fun and celebrate each other when you can, but also have life loves and an identity outside of your career bc lord knows, these jobs ain’t loyal and capitalism kills so don’t get too caught up lol Joker mindset > Mamba mindset, there i said it 😬
