India is suffering from lack of demand. Consp is growing at 1/2 of gdp. It is now up to gst council to reduce the rates so that consp goes up. IT relief is applicable to a very small portion of population. Nudging , at every opp , pvt sector to invest vl not work till consp and therefore utilisation goes up.With robust gdp , tax and gst collection and record dividends: FM cud have been a lot more bold and adventurous. Though msme has been the focus , a lot needs to be done on ease of business. Only credit or financial support may not work. Govt has been working formalisation of economy thru shock and awe but the needs is hand holding.
