What does a labour government mean for the self-employed | Qdos

After many turbulent years of the Conservatives - the self-employed will likely be looking for stability and a thriving flexible economy. But what does the Labour government have in store for the next 5 years?

Sub contractors are the meat in the sandwich.Governments of all parties have pursued a policy of either privatisation or outsourcing. This has led to corporations, mainly foreign owned controlling a large chunk of the economy. As these corporations are simply middle men the actual work is mainly done by sub contractors. This suits the government as trade unions have lost much of their power as sub contractors usually don't belong to a union so cannot act together if they feel something is unfair.In addition the government can transfer all responsibility to the private corporations and look forward to a well paid positions in one of these corporations when they leave parliament if they play their cards right. So the short answer is the self employed will still get royally screwed.
