What does a Naval Academy Midshipman Wear? | Uniforms

Why were some of the uniforms pictured as mirror images? As a member of the Class of 1972, I also had a Tropical Khaki Long uniform. I don't know when it was discontinued.

It was gone by 1975 when I got there . Admiral Mullen brought it back as CNO Chairman-in a limited way in fleet but gone again .

While it may come to a surprise, individuals that want to be marines attend the Naval Academy as well. Most of the uniforms are the same until Junior and Senior year at the academy.
