@@palmtreecorpse It's very useful, absolutely. Good point as well about the phone not having a knife. But, I use my lights many times throughout the day. I don't remember the last time I had a day when I did not use my light. And a light is something you cannot substitute with anything else. If you cannot see something and need a light, there is nothing besides a light source (or nvg's... sorta.. but..) that you can use as a light source. Yes, this means a phone or a lighter, or perhaps something else, but it has to create light. meanwhile it is sometimes or even often manageable to make do without a knife for what you need it for. keys, teeth, pens, a card, screwdriver, scissors, floss, a plastic clamshell package thing, etc. not saying that is ideal and not saying that is always an option. essentially, I do not use the knife I carry on me every day. I use it frequently, and am a knife nerd, but I do not use it everyday. A lot of people, especially knife nerds look for reasons to use their knives. I do use a pocketable light source every day. and as I am a light nerd, I do not use my phone as using the light on a phone is one of the fastest ways to permanently degrade the battery. and it is not always a wise decision to use a poor quality light attached to a $1000 pocket-sized supercomputer. I look at it this way, the two most critical needs a phone provides are communication and location. a light, being something i carry and use regularly, would take away from those needs the phone provides as it drains and degrades the battery. if i am stranded on a road, or find myself in a disaster or emergency or something, i want a light source that i can use for many hours and i want the ability to communicate and know my location.

Here's something I carry when I'm walking to a ballpark from the parking lot. MLB parks or any pro sports arena/park do not allow carry of any type of weapon. Not even a small pen knife. A while back I was stopped by who I thought was a pan-handler but he tried to rob me when I told him I had no cash. I pulled out my wallet and threw it about 15 feet away. He went after it and I disappeared into the crowd. The wallet was filled with realistic fake cash, old credit cards with my name and account numbers cut out and a fake ID. I'm sure he thought he scored big time. A block away I called the police. My friend and I were safe and no one got hurt.. except handcuffs hurt a little on the bad guy. By the way, he never noticed my Rolex Submariner

My set up is exactly like his even with the Rolex but I do carry a flashlight and I live in a rougher area and in the city. I don’t carry a bag of crap I don’t need because theirs no reason for it. If I’m hiking traveling etc that’s a different story but to the store to gas station etc I carry light and what I need realistically.

Wow, we have a very similar every day carry. I love the p365 with the 12 round mag. I don’t carry a knife very much these days but the Benchmade 32 Morpho is my favorite. I got my Rolex last year to celebrate my first year of sobriety. Sour gummy worms for the wife. Thanks for the videos.

@@ShawnRyanShow I don't understand you folks who dont carry a flashlight. I use one all day long working on equipment and just all kinds of things. It's always handy to probe a dark area with its light or its body before I put my hand there too (I'm sure that's the correctional officer in my talking and thinking though). I'll get stuck out on the property at night and need it to look for snakes when opening and shutting gates. I just can't see myself being without one in a rural setting. On the other hand, when we're in town I'll use it to illuminate dark areas around buildings for a split second when walking my wife and kids to the car.

I like your style. I have not been in the middle east, but as a street cop, I have been in the Ghetto on dark nights. I also carry the 365, I wore a Rolex on duty, but now an Apple Watch as a retired older guy. I do carry an extra mag, just in case, the first one has issues. I used to carry an auto, Benchmade, but not on duty anymore I cannot, so I have the new Benchmade SOCP because I am a martial artist, which by proxy makes me a knife fighter, or a stick, brick, or their girlfriend's purse in a pinch. Like you, get whatever gun that works and you feel confident with, don't go by someone else's likes and dislikes. Thanks for your tips my brother. I am former Navy.

Carry accordingly. Wise words. Always wondered how much crime were in the areas that most of these KZbin gun reviewers lived. Most seemed to carry a lot of stuff for areas that are probably low crime areas. Anyways to each their own. I live in a place where crime (especially violent ones) are always literally around the corner. So I carry a gun with as many rounds as comfortable to me, especially for my white collar job. It's a drag but I like to be prepare. Also I try to hit the range every week. Good videos and great sense of humor. You tell a lot of truths in your jokes.
