A total solar eclipse is one of the most impressive sights in our Universe. As rare as they are, they don't just happen on Earth. On some planets, they occur every single day. But you know what a solar eclipse looks like on Earth. What does it look like on other planets?
00:00 What Does a Solar Eclipse Look Like on Different Planets?
00:44 Total solar eclipses on Earth happen every 18 months.
01:01 Next total solar eclipse visible in North America in 2024.
04:10 Io, Callisto, and Ganymede alignment creates triple solar eclipse on Jupiter.
06:44 Saturn has numerous moons, some larger than Mercury.

This is how we determine the path of the moon an earth: Every 18.6 years, the angle between the Moon's orbit and Earth's equator reaches a maximum of 28°36′, the sum of Earth's equatorial tilt (23°27′) and the Moon's orbital inclination (5°09′) to the ecliptic. The lunar distance is on average approximately 385,000 km (239,000 mi), or 1.28 light-seconds; this is roughly 30 times Earth's diameter or 9.5 times Earth's circumference. Around 389 lunar distances make up an AU astronomical unit (roughly the distance from Earth to the Sun). If we plug in these numbers to a computer program the above numbers don't match with the followings, the path of the moon, the reason for full and partial moon, the speed of the rotation of the moon and the earth, why and how light scattering makes some of the moon transparent, and only the moon, but no other planets. It also does not explain why we can not see / detect the moon's axis of rotation and how earth and the moon remain in a precise rotational speed to its milliseconds despite the claims that there are many disorderly changes in earth's rotation? Why do people in both the southern and northern hemisphere see the moon in the same orientation even though they are looking at the moon in the opposite direction, other words, we should see the moon upside down in the southern hemisphere. Why do we never see the moon or the sun or the stars from satellites? At any given time half of the world should be able to see the moon in the exact same position, and yet the moon does not show up every time and in a predictable position in space?

Sir, Do cover the following topics if possible:- What if we discovered a new colour? What if Mermaid existed? What if shadow had only one part? (No umbra only penumbra ) What if we reached -1 Kelvin? What if sound was a non mechanical wave? What if inert gases had valency? What if annular eclipse happened everyday on Earth? What if the speed of light in vacuum was equal to the speed of light in diamond? What if humans had cell walls? Thank you.

Experienced it today (4/8/24) in my home city of Dallas and IT WAS AMAZING!!!!! I thought it would be overhyped and I'm happy to admit that I was so wrong. I had chillbumps watching as the sun seemed to disappear before our very eyes and it turned to night in mere seconds. The birds instantly quieted, we didn't even hear any bugs! I can't explain my reaction but it was as close to experiencing god or religion for me. It was over way too fast!

About Neptune, that's actually not true that the sun would just look like another star. That's a common misconception. 1/900th of the sunlight is still a lot and brighter than the full moon. If you've ever seen a solar eclipse, you know that 99.99% totality still provides a lot of light. In fact, 15 minutes after sunset is what NASA calls Pluto time, as that simulates the light levels of the sun from Pluto. The sun would indeed be a lot dimmer and smaller but still far too bright to look at safely and would light up the sky. Even though Neptune is 2.8 billion miles from the sun, remember that Proxima Centauri is 4.246 light years away or 24.9 trillion miles from Earth, so it's nearly 10,000 times the distance. In other words, you have to go very far outside of the solar system for the sun to just be another dot in the night sky (even from Proxima Centauri it'd still be a bright star in the night sky).
