Consistency is king.
The finite markers are there for guidance. They tell us how fast and how far we've gone but they're not an indicator of the end of the game. The process is constant. It's not event, it's a lifestyle.

As a cancer patient I know that cancer cells do not grow for the shake of growth but they have an objective. To live... I admire you Simon but even cancer has a purpose! Thanks for your wonderful ideas!

Amen. We must grow for the sake of the vision / cause NOT for the sake of growth itself. Love that. This is so very important for an organization like ours. Our synagogues and communities should grow only if the people are growing.

I've observed that the best organisations are the ones which focused on their values right from the beginning and established a culture of systems and processes. Process driven organisations always stay successful compared with person driven ones. It's the latter ones where people need to "bark orders" as Simon puts it. But in recent times many organisations have been sinking due to poor adherence to their values, which lead to scams and scandals bringing down the entire organisation. Leaders need to stick to their values no matter what, and that takes immense courage.

My company does not worry about quality. The leaders need to have dialogue that is impactful and and progressive. The right ones leave ... hard to see but necessary.

I could not actually audibly hear my normally favorite speaker in this message because he named a company as working to be a good company again. I in fact I know the company uses people up and treats them as nothing after. It doesn't treat them well during the process, which I think is inferred. I'm so disappointed. So, so disappointed.
