I had a 5 way bypass and heart valve repair years ago. I was put under anesthesia and had my heart stopped while my blood was routed to a heart lung machine to keep my body alive. I was clinically dead as my heart was no longer working but kept alive artificially. I was under the most severe anesthesia during the 8 hours or so for my operation. I didnt see any white light, didnt see any dead relatives, and didnt experience anything. 10 minutes could have been 10 years. It was total black velvet. I had no dreams and no sense of self. I had no thoughts I could remember and no sense of being. It was non being and non existence. How beautiful. No pain. No anger. No hurt. No disappointment. Just nothing. Just peace and notbingness.

Sometimes when I’m driving down the road, I’m just so grateful to be alive because the sky is blue in the trees are green and it’s all so beautiful. There is joy, and just being alive. When I come home from a long day, and my dog greets me at the door, I feel pure joy and I am so grateful. A lot of life is mundane. That is why you must find the beauty and the little things.

What is after death in Islam... the death of an infidel (when he is dying, he sees moments of his whole life passing before him for a few minutes, then he sees the angel of death and the angels, so he is afraid of the blackness of their faces, then the angel of death says to him, “Oh, you evil spirit, come out to the wrath of your Lord and anger, so his soul scatters in all his body.” So he removes it from every vein and nerve, so the pain in which there is indescribable pain and his life has not passed through it, he takes out his whole soul and puts it in a shroud of fire, then he ascends with it to the sky, and he asks a soul of this evil, and he says: The soul of so-and-so does not open the gates of heaven for him, then the soul returns to The earth is in the isthmus, and two angels come to him and ask him from your Lord, and he says, “I don’t know.” He says, “What is your religion?” He says, “I don’t know.” He says, “Who is your prophet?” He says, “I don’t know.” They say to him, “You lied.”

My father just passed away on New Year's Day. It was very difficult to witness and watch. Having to care for him the final few days and seeing him suffer. So sudden, so painful, I don't even know how to feel, what to think, or how to process this. He was fine a month ago and then boom, gone.. I truly hope there is life after death somehow, somewhere and he is at peace somewhere living on..

I’m not scared of being dead because I believe either it’s like before you’re born or if there is more, you don’t feel things like fear and anxiety or pain. What I’m terrified of is knowing that I’m dying and being able to feel my heart slow down and my lungs struggle to breath. Just fully aware. I struggle with anxiety so not being able to breath and feeling my heart struggle is scary to me. I hope they drug you up real good so there’s no anxiety

Before my grandfather passed he suffered a stroke or heart attack and died. He was resuscitated and was upset he seen God and didnt want to leave. A little while later on his death bed my mother was watching over him and could feel his soul slipping away. She said outside the window she heard marching as a light passed by. They were in Puerto Rico up in the mountains where there is no light poles so in the night its pitch black. The windows are shutters and they were closed. My mother was holding his hand and cold feel how cold his body became. Once the marching faded away my grandfather smiled then passed.

I used to be a heroin junkie, I used up to 3 grams every single day and one day I did too much and OD’d. While I was “dead” I was surrounded by blackness but I actually did see a light in front of me but kinda far. Then I heard my mom, she passed away a few years earlier and she just kept saying “wake up Tommy” The light I was seeing all of a sudden turned into a silhouette of her and she walked to me, put out her hands and I woke up in the hospital. They said I was dead for at least 3 minutes but it seemed like alot longer! I’ll never forget that peaceful feeling I had upon seeing and hearing my deceased mamas voice.
