What baffles me is that some EDT's last soooooo long (Examples: Invictus, 1 Million, Bleu de Chanel, Dior Sauvage,.....) Do you know why this is? Is it because of the composition?
@widepeepohappy8207 ай бұрын
Yes certain chenichals lasts longer like a sweet deep parfume will tripple the amount on skin then a fresh parfume thats citrusy and aquatic but even then certain chemichals are strong

Short and to the point. Is there a difference between extrait de parfum and parfum?
@ScentsWithBenefits Жыл бұрын
You know these are just generally suggestions. Every company and even every composition needs to be assessed individually to really find out the performance. It’s not as clear cut as it seems.

@@ScentsWithBenefits makes sense. But i thought there would be a general difference between extrait and parfum, similar to the difference between EDT and EDP
@ScentsWithBenefits Жыл бұрын
@@stastrav truth be told. It’s all just marketing lingo. It really depends on the specific scent.

varies but generally expect 30-40% concentration

I have a question that maybe you will consider discussing in a future video. What is your opinion of non toxic fragrances such as Ellis Brooklyn and Henry Rose? If not those brands what do you think of the marketing on “non toxic” perfume?
@ScentsWithBenefits Жыл бұрын
Working on that already. Stay tuned.

I’d purchased Sunfruit by Ellis Brooklyn for my gf earlier this year. The scent was lovely, good enough for her to want/wear it and she’s not into fragrances like I am. The longevity is terrible IMO. If she didn’t like it so much I’d think it was a waste of money. I can’t make a blanket statement to the entire line but if that’s indicative of the type of “non-toxic” frags, then they’ve got some hills to climb.

So where does Elixer come in? Everyone is saying it’s even stronger

Can you categorize them in terms of which ones to apply for winter and summer
@ScentsWithBenefits8 ай бұрын
Generally you want to to wear fresh (low concentration) in the summer and sweet (or high concentration) in the winter but there is more to it

Vol% is Alcohol in the bottle right ? So if a Perfume has written 44% Vol but has EDP written What does that mean
@ScentsWithBenefits8 ай бұрын
The % in this case is the amount of fragrance concentration not alcohol. It’s not a vodka :) Also some brands put more % than others and call it whatever they want

I see it as gimmicks. My one million lucky “edt”lasts longer than my deep blue “parfum”
@widepeepohappy8207 ай бұрын
This is the biggest bag of bs ive seen, you failed to mention extrait de parfum so by your theory it lasts 48 hiurs then? And you could take an edp put in certain ingredients like ambroxan and make it last 24 hours on skin and like months on clothes. Usually concentrations will onöy affect the sillage of a parfume but even then it depends what chemichals or naturals are in the parfume
