Plain and simple as that, manage the freaking games properly, sensibly & tactically make earlier subs, read the game; players are fatigued in with that others should get an opportunity to contribute on keeping the flow and energy to secure 3 points. Maresca is an upgrade on Poch for sure but his reluctance to change players and his constant tinkering of players roles has left us vulnerable at times. He said we have two players per position why not trust that player when the other one is not performing?

I have to disagree as I think Maresca's progress has stalled. Look at two of the games yesterday, when Liverpool attacked and had balls going into the box they had 4 or 5 players in the box. If Chelsea have 2, it is a surprise and who is hoping to score if Palmer or Jackson don't.

Nina superb analysis as usual. For me, we lost because when it was clear we are getting overpowered and the goal from Fulham was coming, Maresca got it wrong in this one. Nkunku isn't a hold up player or an outlet. Should have either kept Nico on or chosen Felix. Missed Lavia. There wasn't really much option from the bench for midfield. Sanchez was at fault for their winner, because clearly Fulham were on top so why launch the ball when you've got Tosin standing next to you with Nkunku up top and give them possession back and hit us again with a few minutes to go? Subs too little too late and wrong choices. Maresca, I hope you include yourself in lessons learned.

Appreciate Nina’s positivity but I’m getting bored of the ‘we’ll learn from this’ rhetoric. Maresca has said that in almost every post-match presser. If we need to learn that a game is 98 minutes, that a team dominating the second half is going to go for the win, or that no subs or tactical changes leaves us in a vulnerable position then we’re in trouble.
