The fact is the richest 10% Tibetans owned the other 90% Tibetans as serf up to 1959. Dalai Lama was among the top 10%. When he found out that couldn't keep his 27 manor houses, 13 pastures, 6,000 serfs, 8,000 kg of gold, and 5 million kg of silver he and other rich Tibetans land owners moved their assets to India and live like kings there ever since. The slave-like serfs inside China were freed as Tibetans of today. So it is true the filthy rich Tibetans outside China are not Chinese as they could buy their way to US, Canada and other western nations.

The question itself is neurotic because there is NO meaning. Tibetan is just a label 🏷 to distinguish us from others with different 🏷 tags. It’s a word used for identification purposes. Let’s not try too hard to make something grand out of nothing. There is no need of a meaning... Some are Indian; some are African & some are British. The question itself is misleading & almost suggestive of something which isn’t there. It’s a romanticized notion like an abstract poem which doesn’t make logical sense the deeper you analyze it... I AM A HUMAN BEING God created everything Perhaps it’s time we seek the Creator God instead of looking within ourselves. Younger generation are really open minded & I can see a glimmer of hope... TIBETAN to me as a ethnic race is someone who is held bondage under pagan religion & man made traditions that have never benefited us for centuries but we hold them dear because we are encouraged to do so since our childhood. It’s an irony but it’s an “co dependency” issue with Tibetan people & it’s culture which is rooted in Buddhism. I’m a Tibetan but I think differently...

Awakened sky You live in NY, claimed asylum in the US on the basis of your Tibetan background, all thanks to His Holiness the Dalai Lama, yet you spew garbage. You’re misguided and an ingrate. Save yourself before you get too deep into this garbage religion and waste your mind.

TruthShallPrevail4 American President George Bush did a favor to thousand Tibetan refugees just as it is done with all other third world countries like Nepal 🇳🇵 or Bangladesh 🇧🇩. My parents got green card & that’s how I ended up in America. I don’t owe it to nobody but God. So spare me the typical Tibti baashaan & slavery mindset 🙏... In Tibetan community, you’ll be hated for simply thinking differently because hive mindset is what’s popular amongst our society. However I understand because I too have lived through that slumbering hive mindset most of my youth. As the saying goes, “ Nothing will change if you change nothing”
