I can relate to this. Business or homeowner pays their Taxes and suffers from neighborhood homeless strife. When a Community get trashed because of interest who don't care its vary discouraging

I am like 90% sure this is just another tax loophole and I am 100% sure this will do nothing to actually help the homeless so they don't have to sleep outside.

They have shelters to go to, but they would rather sleep on the streets and use their drugs.

Big investment companies that own the majority of property care about the homeless population? That's hilariously false. All they care about is their bottom line as proved by their pricing model that's inflated costs for the consumer. A vote yes for this Prop is a redistribution of tax dollars to corporate interests. Social welfare for the billionaires. Choose wisely.

Well said. Sure, us home owners might benefit but big businesses will far exceed our own benefit.

What a joke “will the money be taken from services like helping he homeless” I’m sorry was that not a bunch of homeless in the zone you just recorded??? So clearly they ain’t doing anything and the money businesses pay goes to NOTHING. So yes you don’t want to hold your end of the bargain? We shouldn’t have to pay taxes. Hold the system accountable. Use the tax money to help them or give it back.

@@juliepiemonte326890% is not a lifestyle choice I used to walk the streets and pray on the homeless to heal there injuries and help them find god. One man once told me everyone always thinks it’s a choice to be this way or we are on drugs or have diseases. He told me im homeless because I lost my wife my house my job and I’m perfectly healthy not on drugs or anything. I’ve been homeless before too me and my fiance and my dog. We weren’t on drugs we didn’t turn to prostitution or anything like that like people say homeless people are. We lost our apartment, lost our jobs, and had no family. We were lucky enough to have a car that we slept in but for people who don’t even have a car while your warm in your house with a warm homemaid meals or fast food they are freezing in the cold winter weather. They can’t afford clean clothes or warm clothes because they have no money can’t even shower at all so that’s why they don’t get jobs because of that reason.

@@juliepiemonte326899% is not a lifestyle choice I used to pray for the homeless and have conversations with them and to help them find god if they lost hope and one man told me people think being homeless is a choice that I made. He said that he became homeless because he lost his job first then his wife died he lost his house and his kids lived out of state. So no “it’s not by choice”. I used to be homeless with my fiancée and my dog who was a 2 year old Shih Tzu at a time. We lost our jobs lost our apartment because we couldn’t pay for it anymore and had no family to stay with because there was no room for us in there house. We went to homeless shelters but you have to sleep separated from each other meaning I have to sleep with strangers who are girls and he has to sleep with strangers who are boys and they don’t allow pets. We tried another place where a hotel was turned into a place but even that you either have to 1 qualify for Something or 2 have house inc and even then you have to get approved for that . Places like old Pueblo community services don’t help either because they say there going to call you back and don’t or they have you feel something out and you have to wait until you get accepted like housing. We were blessed enough to have a car. When you don’t have a car and you’re out in the streets like that you get food and people will stab you for your food or your mattress or pillow or blanket or jacket whatever you have. The people who don’t have cars are cold especially in the winter. They can’t shower so can’t get a job doesn’t have money for clothes to buy anything. We never turned to drugs. Some people do because they loose hope and get depressed . Thats why we walk around and pray over them. So next time your at home in your warm house and have fresh home aid meals or fast food meals with showers and a bed even there’s homeless people trying to find a safe place to sleep for the night just to avoid dying in there sleep and they have to wake up and do it all again the next day living day by day just trying to survive so no it’s not a “lifestyle choice”.

Instead of making them move from the only place they know they need to figure out a way to build tiny home communities for the homeless like a retirement community type of environment with a rehab area that’s walking distance if they need it. Or counseling if they need therapy at no cost and job seeking help. All these abandoned hotels can be turned into something like that!

We can't vote to de-fund police then! We need our law enforcement, they're essential! They need to figure out how to reconfigure some of these older abandoned buildings in to housing for the homeless, mental healthcare and job/education placement.

Sounds like an idea the Neoliberal Republicans would come up with to address homelessness. Give businesses more tax breaks. That way government can just ignore the problem instead of doing their job as servants of the people and finding solutions . Remember most business owners rent their property, the landlord will get the tax brakes, the business owner will get to deal with the cleanup. A Yes, vote is a vicious assault on the unfortunate by the corporate investment class… make government do their job and serve & the people. Vote no

Stop your nonsense, you want to live in a homeless encampment go for it but the rest of us shouldn’t be subjected to having to live around or near the filth. Most of this people made deliberate choice to be homeless it’s not like in the 80 and 90s where people who ended up in the streets where there because they got priced out of life or they were vets who due to their mental illnesses couldn’t keep a job because the government wasn’t giving them the resources needed. Now homelessness is about drug addiction derailing their lives so they end up in the streets because their number one priority is to be high and to stay high they end up “boosting” so stealing from businesses to sell on Facebook marketplace just so they can buy more drugs

Bottom line is, you can’t help someone who doesn’t want to be helped. Reality is all those services this guy pointed out ALREADY EXIST, that’s not even scratching the surface of the types of services that are available. Not all, but most homeless folks are more concerned about their next high than their own wellbeing. I fear this proposition may lead to property owners abusing this law, less tax income for the state, and more pressure on the already understaffed valley police departments. There’s better ways to solve these problems than to threaten tax dollars that our communities rely on.
