I worked in Qatar in 2008, it has its problems but it is a progressive state and I felt safe there. If Islam is to have a future in the modern world, the Muslim nations should look to the Qatar modle.

The other countries did not like Qatars' president (Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani) because he is not easy going as his father (Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani). His father (Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani) used to send a lot of money to other countries for free (for no reason, they just asked for money and he gave it to them) When his son noticed that that money can be spent on developing the country rather than sending it away he decided to take over his farther and rule the country. It is proven that he did his country very good by doing so. If you look at Qatar before and after Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani rulled you will notice that he did so many things in favor for his own country, while his father (Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani) did the opposite, he was in favor of the other counties. The other counties hated Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and wanted to bring his father back, but they failed. Now they are trying to make Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani obey their selfish rules in favor of their own counties and not his. Another thing, when Qatar was accused of supporting terrorist, they opened their files to the public and allowed many countries to come and investigate as they please. However! The neighboring countries refused to open their files to the public or have anyone do any investigation and rather, they offered meetings after meetings for discussions. Doesn't this rise a red flag? and btw, the investigators that came from Europe did not find a single proof that supports the neighboring countries clam till today.

i'm talking about the past. Now Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani is the current Emir and he is following his fathers foot steps. I'm saying the other countries do not like him or his father for the reasons stated above. if you doubt in anything I've said you can look it up.

I left Qatar in April of 2017 after my dad left his work due to unknown issues. After the blockade started and everything started to go down, my dad saw that the bank that he worked for in Qatar has lost 70% of its wins and profits.
