The Holy Spirit has been literally yanking me out and away from many involvements...everything from Facebook to local Bible Study at a local church. Like you, my husband and I abandoned denominational religion and "church" membership way back in 1986. It has been an interesting and very challenging life, with rewards unbounded but also with, yes, persecution for not following the "status quo method of worship". Over the last year, I keep hearing His Voice calling, "Take my Gospel to the streets". That said, I approached several local ministers about this and each and everyone hedged. Now, though, there is a mission fellowship that has been called to open fellowship to the "common man"...read that "the outcasts of denominational churchianity." As we unplug from the entanglements of the world, we are being plugged in more securely to His Kingdom. Thank you, thank you for this second or third witness to His Calling.

Thank you, ma'am. Pulling away from organized church seems to have left me with few, if any, to fellowship with as you have described. I long for even a very few like minded "heretics" ,if you will, to gather with.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experience. Our Christian walk can at times be lonely, but moments of true fellowship like this is what strengthens, gathers and encourages. Your comments have been a great inspiration to me to keep walking on. I pray we may continue to encourage each other in this way. We may not always see how the Lord is gathering His people, but He is working. I will pray that the Lord lifts you up today in your walk. Blessings to you!
