What Each Drive Mode Does in the 2023 Genesis G70!

First up, I apologize for the bad mic quality during the sport drive mode discussions, not sure what happened. And second I forgot to add that in sport mode for the AWD models, it will send more power to the rear to make the car rear biased. I dont know the exact percentage, I've heard its something like 70%. Also, regarding the eco drive mode, I was able to find official guidance stating that the transmission timing and throttle response is indeed limited to increase fuel economy, as well as the AC being limited while in eco mode to further improve fuel efficieny.

Sport mode is 80% rear. Sport plus is 100% rear. With tcs and stb off, drift mode will activate when the wheel is turned.

They were smart when they designed it. For like 5k i went from 362hp to like 5 and change with racegas. I tied a panamara the other day off a roll ( definitely the cars weakness). That guy looked hurt. I still have stock exhaust and got rid of in cabin sound. So its a silent beating. Great video.

when you're in manual mode and want to go back to automatic you can also pull down on the gear selector (like if you were selecting Drive) and it will go back

I pretty configured my custom mode just like Sports+ but with traction control on. 👍. I love the down shifting in Sports+ even breaking.

Sport+ mode is pretty sweet. Way better than regular sport mode.

I did my custom mode to sport + transmition, with traction on. Mines RWD so if im not traction on I fishtail like a corvette lol

@@jayjohnson-t2y if you are in Sport mode and switch to manual shifting it will hold gears, but will still upshift for you if redlining.. Basically it won't let you hurt the engine

that is annoying. soon it will be not allowed to speed 😂😂i went with a infiti q50 redpsport. holds gears and has 3 levels of dampening in custom personal mode . insane for price.. may wait til few more years to see how genesis evolve. @@HammysShowcase

Additionally, in sport+ the upshifts have a little soft pop sound and not in normal sport mode

Its actually a pretty loud pop or like "burtt" sound on up shift. You can't hear it inside the cabin tho which sucks. If you check out my exhaust video I linked in the video you can hear them.

I imagine the RWD would be better for drifting. Ive slid my AWD G70 a few times cause in sport mode it is rear biased, but I highly doubt it would sustain a full on drift cause the front wheels are gonna grip at some point with it being AWD.

A friend of mine bought a 2021 3.3t sport and sold it las summer because he disliked the lack of noise insulation. He was also finding that the build quality and interior's material was not so good. It suprises me coz all the reviews I saw wasn't speakibg about it. What do you guys think about all that? Thx!

The G70 has changed SIGNIFICANTLY since the 2021 model. Not even the same car honestly.. The sound insulation on my 2023 Genesis G70 is phenomenal. It's like dead silent. And so far the build quality has been superb. Genesis has changed its brand and cars like crazy since 2021 and even 2022. Their 2023 and newer cars are true luxury cars. I wouks not reccomend buying any Hyundai or Genesis car prior to 2023

Great video..... I have a question for you : I know the battery is in the trunk. However, if i would need a boost, do I have to empty the trunk or are there battery terminals under the hood .... somewhere ?? couldn't find any... Thanks

@@HammysShowcase LOL... OK, after a little research (owner's manual ), The positive terminal is in the fuse box and you stick the Negative to the frame... VOILÀ !!

How do you enable drift mode for the AWD platform? Thought I read about that somewhere but I forgot how to turn it on.

To my knowledge there isn't a drift mode. I found some articles that say you can put the car in sport+ mode then hold down the stability control button until it says "off" on the dash. And that is supposed to fully turn off stability and traction control, thus allowing you to drift

I've mainly been doing city driving as of late and my car says 21mpg. And that's driving in in eco mode. I can't remember the last time I drove in sport mode.
