Bootleg lps always look like they'd be sticky for some reason. I occasionally see lps lots that are mostly real lps but have like two or three weird dollar store fakes.

“Q” is Chinese slang for cute, so they’re “Cute Shape Puppy Club”. As for the purple thing you couldn’t identify, it’s one of the LPS fairy designs, just scaled up and less detailed like the other large fakes.

4:58 oh my god. I just realized I own one of these. You’ve unlocked the memory of me and my cousin being about mayyyybe 6 or 7 and walking into a Giant Tiger (Canadian store, its kiiind of a like a bargain store but also has grocery and clothing) and begging our grandmother to get us some. I think the packaging definitely fooled us into thinking we got the real deal because we were both lps fanatics as kids (i still am)

Over here in canada basically every dollarama has really bad fake lps by the brand "Montoy". Most use g3 molds and they are so light they can't even stand up. They come in a clear plastic house looking case as well as the palm tree, a weird looking bucket, and a broom.

5:59 i remember when i was maybe 12 or younger and i bought a lot of 14 lps on ebay for $14… the pictures were of authentic lps so i was excited. but when they came, they were not authentic. they were all that kind of gross fakes with really squishy heads, faded paint, and they all smelled. they also had this weird shiny coating on them and it was sticky. i was so sad 🤣 thinking back on it i shoulda known cuz none of the pictures were the same. like they were all screenshots of different lots online. rip little me

there’s a canadian dollar store called dollarama and I’ve seen fake lps there from I think their own toy brand called montoy. they also come with those random palm trees lol

When I was a kid I got a big pack of these fake monstrosities from wish. They sure are strange they smell weird too. I no longer have them except for the yellow fake lop ear bunny because I am trying to collect ALL of the lop ear bunnies so I need ALL of them 😂😂😂😂 including fake

Amazing video! I’ve considered making a fakie MLP video for sometime but I’ve never got around to it.😂 I actually think I might have some answer regarding the “Q” pets. When looking up the MLP line “cutie mark crew” on Chinese sites, sellers will typically add a “Q” at the end of the Chinese text for MLP. I’m assuming “Q” might be some strange translation of Cute given the name Cutie Mark Crew and in this case maybe “cute shaped”. Just a theory though.

I don’t know how the last toy “company” Was able to be called “Littlest pet shop” I mean your not suppose to steal a name from a toy brand that’s already made. That’s copyright, so I’m not sure how they got away with that. And if hasbro saw it they would be mad.

That would be trademark, actually. And it’s probably a result of being based in China, if I had to guess, as they don’t have trade agreements with a good portion of the West and disregard copyright and trademark law regularly.
