What a lovely gesture from the couple who own the site, when you have been stationery for that long it is such a luxury to have constant power and water and not have to wonder where to empty the toilet, waste water etc and to get back down in the valley from the hills is a real bonus rough weather is nice for a night or so to listen to the wind and rain but soon becomes a mare, Glad you two are all sorted was starting to wonder what was going on looking forward to seeing the new bigger solar power bank/generator thingy ma jiggy wotsa me call it.

Three cheers for Owen & Barbara...Hurrah! Hurrah! Hurrah! They have restored my faith in mankind, truly it seems that you have met some of the kindest friendliest folks while in Ireland. I'm so glad you are down off that mountain and in such a nice place. Solitude is all well and good in small doses, but I don't think I could do well with weeks and weeks of it. You guys kept your spirits up pretty marvelously, all things considered, and I am delighted that you have finally been rescued by such nice folks. I can sleep better at nights knowing you are being looked after and have such a wonderful place to stay. If I lived in Ireland I would have taken you in myself if at all possible. I didn't want to make you feel worse, but I was really getting stressed knowing you were clear out there in the middle of nowhere, especially with Mazzy's medical issues. This has come like an answer to my prayers and I thank God you have gone to stay at this delightful place. Have a wonderful day, and I know now you will!!!

What a really beautiful part of the world you have landed in. I recognised it immediately. I travel down into that area every year, to cycle it on my road bike. And with all the fine establishments in the area, you would never ever (in normal times) go hungry. But they are closed now - you will have to go back when they all re-open. Enjoy it. It's a beautiful part of the world.

Phew! We were all wondering what had happened to you. So so pleased you've moved and are safe and well, thank goodness for Barbara and Owen. Life will be a little easier where you are now, water, waste disposal, shop within walking distance and electric.....luxury compared with where you were. I'd worked out where your layby was using Google Earth, from the address and description of how to find you from your John Smith's survival parcel postal description, and I bet I wasn't the only one. I didn't mention this before just in case I gave the wrong people the idea and they worked it out as well. It looks like a beautiful spot for a one night stop over, but 6 weeks. When you "disappeared" I feared you were having trouble, fortunately you weren't. Then I thought maybe the newspaper fame had gone to Dan's head and you'd gone incognito to avoid the autograph hunters! Maybe Owen can let Dan loose on a mower to cut the grass, that could be a video in itself. I could give you tips on how to make it go faster, I used to race a lawnmower (google BLMRA if you think I'm joking) the ride on ones can do over 50 mph. And I know the problem with food colouring in the hair Mazzie, I've had white hair since my 30's. A long time ago someone massaged red food colouring into my white hair. Even though I washed it immediately, I had pink hair for 6 weeks. I got some seriously strange looks. Take care, stay well, stay safe. CharlieG

Glad to see you both enjoying a better set-up with elec hook-up and water. Well done Barbara & Owen. ( I had planned to stay at that campsite last September but ended up staying at Inch beach in Co. Kerry in my rented Motorhome for longer than expected so never did make it to your current location). Great reviews online though. Yes you’re both bad at keeping your location secret. I’ll tell no-one 😃 I had summarised the new ‘lockdown rules’ for you.... From Tuesday May 5th , you can travel 5kms from your home. Then beginning May 18th, there are going to be 5 ‘Stages’ of relaxing restrictions, each new ‘Stage’ beginning every 3 weeks. Phase 1 .. May 18th Repair shops/ Some retail / Hardware shops. Outdoor tourism sites where people are not stationary. Phase 2 .. June 8th You can travel 20 kms from your home. Phase 3 .. June 29th Cafés / Restaurants Larger stores which are Ground-level only. Phase 4 .. July 20th Caravan Parks Hairdressers/Barbers Phase 5 .. August 10th Most restrictions lifted. Pubs !!!!

Lovely to see your back🌸 you can use bicarbonate soda mixed with head shoulder shampoo to lift that colour out ,put it on dry and leave it on for as long as possible, I'm always using pinks etc even used beetroot once to colour it and food colouring 😂😂 baking soda to you can mix with it as I know it's probably hard for you to get stuff, but u def need that shampoo, when your done plaster your hair in conditioner and relax with a glass of 🍷 mayb you both can have a wee spa evening together lol
