The injury killed R9. He had three league seasons at Inter where he played 10 or less games. Take the 01/02 season where he scored 7 in 10 for Inter in the league. Inter finished literally 3 points from winning the title. If R9 was fully fit that season they would've won the league by 10 points.

Wesley's game cannot be explained with numbers. As a Galatasaray fan I remember how bad a fotball the team played when he was not on the floor. Well, when he was on the floor he could create positions constantly with just one touch. He was something else. Hagi was and still is our legend but Wesley became my favorite when I watched his impact on each and every position more carefully. He was a wizard.

Great technique, vision, passing and please do not forget he could do it with both feet just as good! He owned the midfield in his prime and made Robben one of the best 'strikers' in the national team. Robben is my all time hero, he was born in my city. But without Sneijder in the national team he would not have been able to show his skills. You just have to look at the WC replays to see how many assists or defense destroying passes he gave, his passing was out of this world.. just like KDB etc. I would devo put him up there with all the legends, he deserves it. As a Turkish football fan but not fan of Galatasaray, I know Super League is not that kind of league as La Liga, Serie A or Premier League but Sneijder's touch in Galatasaray was not in the Super League.. Turkish teams always struggle and fails in Champions League group stages... Galatasaray with Sneijder managed to qualify Round of 16 two times and in one of them they qualified to quarter final. Leader of that team was Drogba but brain was Sneijder and during the league Sneijder was gone in the air if Galatasaray playing with Anatolian small clubs but when there is big match like Gala vs Fenerbahce, Gala vs Besiktas or Gala vs Trabzonspor, Sneijder was come back to scene and win the match and hearts of his supporters. Most of his goals and assists was in critical matches.
