Olfa quick change for 12 years and I love it! I bet you cut more fabric in one day than I cut in a year.

Super informative! Thanks Cindi! I think my bride would love a new metal rotary cutter, we'll see if she asks Santa, maybe he'll make it a stocking suffer.

Great information. Wish I had seen this last week. Just went through the hassle of dealing with a broken cutter. Didn't realize it was broken. Just bought a new cutter because I couldn't get the old one to cut. Would have purchased a metal one had I seen this first but at least I'll know if it happens again. Thank you.

good info. I've had a few cutters for 25 years or more, one did split after 10 or so years. just never thought about all the other brands available. Thanks,

I love my tools, and never have to justify upgrading. I agree that resharpening has never resulted in a great blade... they are good for giving them over to paper crafts (for awhile). I did not know however, about the heavy duty metal rotary cutter handles. THANK YOU! I now have something to put on my wish list!

My all time favorite rotary cutter is my original Gingher cutter. It’s no longer made since Gingher is not Gingher anymore. LDH rotary cutters are a good second choice for me. The Quilters Select looks likes a good option too.

Thank you for doing this! First time I've seen a video on rotary cutters. I've used the straight cutters like these for years until I had to have reconstructive surgery on my right wrist. All the bones in my wrist are no longer exactly where they used to be and I could not hold a cutter like that anymore. Another option if you have something weird like that is the Martelli. It's has an offset handle so my hand is off to the side of the blade. Was a little weird getting used to but at least I can cut fabric again.

Thank you for your explanation about rotary cutters! It explained a lot about what I have experienced. You also talked about a pinking rotary cutter, would you do a demo on how to use one? I have one but never used it because I don't know how to use it! Do you use it with a ruler? Thanks so much for your friendly advice!

I have used the Olga curved " ergonomic" cutter since it came out because my doctor said it was better for my arthritic hands and wrists. Have never seen or lifted a metal one. Does it really take some stress off hands because the weight actually helps move it along?. I have never broke one of the Olga but as my arthritis has gotten worse I find myself pushing harder and harder to control the cut. Any info you have on the metal weight and angle it bends a wrist is appreciated. Thank you.

Hi friends at Fabric Patch. Have you ever looked into the Martelli Brand of cutters? My arthritis doesn't bother me when I cut using that rotary cutter. Also, Have you used the Accu-quilt go? I'd like your opinion of that purchase as well. I enjoy your videos and can tell you have a blessed life!

Really good information. Does the expensive one use the same blades as the others, or does it take its own brand blade? Thanks for the review. God bless. 👏🏻💕👏🏻

It does take its own blade but the blade is Actually less expensive than Olga or Fiskars.

My question is are the blades universal for each? I thought I recently heard that I should only buy Quilters Select blades for my QS cutters. Not sure I have ever seen just QS blades.

Sorry, I just saw this! I like the weight of it. And it’s all metal so it doesn’t deteriorate at the bolt.

I was hoping you’d show how they open and close differently, but I don’t really understand if you push a button on the metal one or you tap something 🤔
