People need to realize that if you have a high scoring offense your Kicker may miss a lot more, but here is why we are solid without Gould👇 Robbie was 27/32 last season, meaning he missed 5 FGs ranking him 25th in FG%, one I remember forcing us to have to play an overtime game. Also, Moody is a Rookie, its going to take some time to perfect his art, most of his misses are narrow, so remember the College goal post are much wider, Probably why Kickers like Gould missed 5 FG's his rookie year. In Comparison Moody was 98% XP so was Gould Gould ranked 25th in FG %, Moody 24th Goulds Long (51) Moody (57) Don't worry he will be fine.

@@Wizez Yeah, I think he will do just fine, Robbie was 29/.29, but thats a span of 17 years, meaning he is kicking less than two in avg a year. Ego aside, dont think we will have rely on him winning a game off him alone, just need him to make those extra points

I agree that many people are being too harsh on Moody. After all, he was 60 of 61 on Extra Points. And since the Extra Points is equivalent to a 33-Yard Field Goal, for the entire season, Moody is essentially 68/70 on Field Goals between 30 and 39 Yards. *_How is that bad?_*

The fact is there was no good reason to get rid of robbie gould...he wasn't asking for an insane amount of money and the 49ers have a ton of cap space. Stupid move that might cost them big. Moody isn't that guy.

Except he has a better make percentage than Gould did with San Francisco and a bigger leg. Gould's longest field goal with San Fran was 53 yards in six years.

Wherever your plant foot points, that is where the ball tends to go. His plant foot landing that far in front of the ball on some of his kicks will also cause the ball to push right. Check the tape, whenever he pushes the ball right, his toe on his plant foot is pointed in the direction the ball ends up.

What I have noticed during the season is that too many of his made-field goals barely sneak by the goalpost. Yeah, he makes me nervous.
