Yuji Itadori (虎いた杖どり悠ゆう仁じ Itadori Yūji?) is the main protagonist of the Jujutsu Kaisen series. He is the son of Jin Itadori and Kaori Itadori, and the grandson of Wasuke Itadori. Yuji was living a normal life in Sendai City until he encountered Megumi and ate one of Sukuna's fingers. After becoming Sukuna's vessel, Yuji began attending Tokyo Jujutsu High alongside Megumi and Nobara as first-year students.
Domain Expansion (領りょう域いき展てん開かい Ryōiki Tenkai?) is an advanced barrier technique and is considered the pinnacle of jujutsu sorcery. It constructs the user's innate domain inside a barrier infused with their innate cursed technique. Within a domain expansion, the user's cursed techniques are improved and any that are activated are guaranteed to hit.[1]

If Yuji really made a binding vow that made his domain kill both him and Sukuna that would be crazy, but my theory is that the domain just instantly hit Sukuna’s soul with the soul dissecting dismantle and he got separated from Fushiguro’s body. He’s probably having a vision with Yuji since he was in his domain expansion

I honestly believe that the very moment Yuji opened his domain, Sukuna died immediately. Everything happened so quickly that he couldn't fathom how quickly happened. Right now my theory is that Yuji opened his domain and the sure hit from it separated Sukuna from Megumi, im assuiming that one of the remaining sorcerers (maybe Maki) waited for the Domain to collapse and then killed Yuji once they realized that Megumi was back to normal. That would be the signal to go, "Guys, kill me before Sukuna tries to use En-chain" again. Plus i do think it's both extremely funny and absolutely within the narrative that after Sukuna literally said not getting hit by Yuji wouldn't be fatal and Yuji wasn't a threat to him, that he literally just dies in the next panel because Yuji is/was an actual threat to him

I may be wrong, but I thought En-chain was a one time use. They never said it could be used again, which is why Sukuna waited for the perfect moment to use it-Gojo sealed, Yuji & Megumi are together, Yoruzu being in Tsmukio(?) body which causes complete shock for Yuji & Megumi. That was essentially the best moment for Sukina to use the vow. Regardless of that, I like and agree with your theory. :D

My main problem with the "Yuji kills himself along with Sukuna" theory is that it would mean either the merger never happens despite being constantly hyped and talked about, or it happens after Yuji died which would also be a letdown.

Minor check: Sukuna should be able to cut souls, he had wounded Mahito while dormant in Yuji. Additionally, chapters prior, I think it was also exemplified when he made the initial contract with Yuji for resurrection.

Seems to me Yuji’s domain draws in the souls/conciousness of its targets into his innate domain, effectively targeting the soul. Which could also explain why Yuji & Sukuna look like that(according to Sukuna they have the same soul). Their physical bodies are probably stationary inside the domain whilst every soul in Yuji’s effective range is transported to the weird train station. And damage dealt to the soul will reflect in real time to the body through soul resonance similar to what Takaba does. Since Megumi’s body has two souls in it Megumi’s soul was probably drawn to the train station along with Sukuna’s & temporarily functions independently in the domain & is able to jump Sukuna alongside Yuji

Every theorist i've seen since this chapter released says that Yuji would die alongside Sukuna, and I still fail to understand why do they say that. We have no example of a domain expansion hurting the caster (heck even Sukuna's fire arrow that was the trigger for an explosion didn't hurt him, and the explosion was not under his direct control). If anything, is more logical to think that Sukuna just lost and is in the afterlife talking to Yuji, than to believe that Yuji would kill himself with no guarantee that he would stop the merger or save Megumi by doing so.

Damn I forgot how smooth the biolizard theme is, works really well as BG music But yeah, my personal theory is that the train station is a flash forward after Yuji uses his domain to actually KILL Sukuna. Maybe Yuji did somehow recapture Sukuna within himself (hence his Yujikuna look) and Yuji kamikazied himself, which is why he’s telling Sukuna “Let’s go.” I don’t think the domain is a train station tho. Sukuna, who had two techniques, could only create a domain with his Shrine technique engraved into it. So I would believe that Yuji’s domain will be a remix of Shrine, now using Yuji’s Soul Dismantle/Cleave binding vow to decimate Sukuna’s soul and fully seperate him from Megumi, forcing Sukuna to throw up all his fingers.

I think that's a bit of a stretch. Yuji used DE to get the sure hit effect of his dismantle. Sukuna can't open his domain since he's in burnout. He separated sukuna from megumi, and he vomited out those fingers. I don't think there was any kind of binding vow. And then he used dismantle plus the fire to completely destroy sukuna's fingers once and for all. We know that since Gege said sukuna's fire destroys everything. It's his ultimate technique. Doesn't have to be too complicated guys.

My take on Yujis domain is that it’s just a soul dismantle that allows Yuji to beat his enemies within their own innate domains just like how he was talking to Megumi within his shadowy realm but taken to an extreme

Yuji going through the same phase/transformation Gojo had when Toji killed him. I think Yuji Domain Expansion is about to be a 1v1 where Yuji is slowly or instantly matched up to Sakuna all while absorbing him turning him into a helpless finger again. That’s when Yuji locks the fingers in the infinity barrier train.

I honestly think the confusion sukuna is feeling is caused by him not understanding where the domain took them. I have a feeling gojo domain, followed by yuta’s domain. Yuji made the domain barrier around the soul separating sukuna from megumi. He trained with the best barrier technique user in modern jujitsu. That’s my theory on why he’s confused being forced out of a vessel into someone else’s soul forcibly. I think the domain is something of that nature to split souls.

It seems like his domain expanssion might have to do with the first opening of jjk where Yuji with Sukuna's soul is seen riding a train flooded and liquid appearing red for a short while. Maybe the domain takes them on a train ride flooded with blood signafing the faited connections of Sukuna and Yuji both physically and spiturally and fusess them back together.

I believe the train station is part of his non lethal Domain along with the train ride. The stops will be battle areas, them going to the Heian Era, and last stop Yuji takes the soul or helps it move on. The train ride will be a Twin Brothers false memory with the talk no jutsu. Looking out the window going over everything they been through. At the first six stops, it will be the 6 Death Paintings areas. These are fighting Areas were the curse wombs add their unique CT to the area as the sure hit. The 7th Zone or Stop is the Shrine where yuji can use his Soul Shrine as the sure hit 8th Stop is the past, aka Heian Era, where they can't fight each other but have to fight as twins. Like , what if Yuji was born with Sukuna back then. 9th stop is the future or what could've been, but it's brief. 10 stop is death where Sukuna must choose to stay with Yuji, die alongside Yuji, or die with Yuji by his side, making sure he doesn't die alone.

I think it would be a cool touch if the train lines in the station were running north and south to reflect nanami's conversation in the airport with gojo. I personally think yuji's domain could have something to do with laying souls to rest, fullfilling his role as a exorcist and helping others pass on to the next life. Its a very limited domain but that would just boost its powers
