Well Max fought really hard but Lewis and Merc are on other level since Brazil. The strength of Merc is not just the massive talent pool of Lewis and Valtteri but also a very gifted mechanical team. With the fastest car and the most successful driver in f1 history, Merc is clear title fav. Thank you to Lewis and Max for giving us a nail-biter till the end. May the best man win

I'm curious how much (if any) impact the effort both Merc and RB have been making to the very end will impact development on next year's car? Surely this title fight has either stretched them thin, because I can't see building a dominant new car while maintaining a bullet this year!

TBH the fact that Schumacher had joined the by then not very competitive Ferrari team played a far more important role than "learning to play mind games" in Damon Hill's victory IMO. Still, a decent fellow and a reasonably fast driver.
