That wasn't a VGA connector, it was a Serial, it is used to connect to servers to manage it from PCs. We always use it in class.

that cable you found with ethernet to what you thought was a VGA socket is actually an RS-232 cable. essentially used to programme a router. You plug the ethernet end into the console port on your router and the end which is a 9 serial D socket on an older pc or a motherboard which still supplies it.

that cable you found is a serial port to ethernet cable also called a console cable for older Cisco devices. its not a VGA but an RS-232 9 pin serial connection. its used to program the older cisco network devices with a console port on it.

That cable is neither VGA or ethernet. It's a RS-232 serial connection for network consoles and equipment. They're often used for connecting to older managed network switches or server equipment. It was probably used for connecting their POS equipment to barcode readers or serial receipt printers.

not a VGA plug, it only has 2 rows of pins it's likely ethernet to serial port for maybe an old cash register or bank card reader, something to that effect

Yo Speedy make sure you clean your camera and other devices aswell. Use 70% alcohol wipes to do and device type of cleaning.
