For people thinking of a semi static rope after watching this: they meant you can get away with it for a top rope. For lead climbing a semistatic rope will lead to injury or worse especially if trad climbing.

I love your channel! I’ve only been climbing for about 2 months and preparing for our first outdoor climb at the end of this month! Your videos help so much with that! I now follow you in every social media platform I have 🤣👍🏻

Send Edition we are going to Jackson Falls in Illinois. A lot of baby cliffs...perfect for me 🤣 I’m a videographer and I’ve been very interested in doing some videography on the rock face so your ascending video was extremely helpful and I have recently purchased equipment for it and taking a class soon. So yeah just super grateful you’re putting these videos out so I can learn and find other people with this newfound passion of mine!

Bought the Black Diamond Pilot, after your review. Had used ATC before, but the Pilot is more reliable with inexperienced belayers. In my chalkbag, have a very small belay plate and a couple of bolt plates, as we have carrot bolts here.

this was super helpful! i was wondering which harness you have in this video?
@SendEdition3 жыл бұрын
I have the Black Diamond Momentum harness. Though, if you are looking for your first harness, you might want to try a starter kit that comes with a carabiner and belay device - I made an article comparing name brand kits here that you’re welcome to read :) sendedition.com/rock-climbing-starter-kits/

I’ve fallen in love with Black Diamond. Momentum harness, Momentum shoes (lace & velcro), pilot ATC. It all just seems to work for me. Well, that and I recognized the name from the 90s when I first climbed.
