Yeah, imagine if you could design your own room templates then the game would randomly arrange them and some of their contents (enemies, treasure, etc.) every time you enter a new "floor", creating basically the "ultimate Simulated Universe" that would put The Herta to shame. Just for funzies, I'd get a bunch of user-made Remembrance Blessings because Frozen is a severely neglected elemental reaction these days.

@planetary-rendez-vous Yeah, at the start she was the only available char, Divine Ingenuity had an item that let you add more characters later so as the puzzle progressed the player would get Albedo, Amber and Xiangling to mix their skills into the puzzle, like yeeting Baron Bunny or lifting Guoba

The first version of divine ingenuity, I was having a blast designing a domain. but the second rerun of it, I didn't bother because I was demotivated knowing my efforts will just be wasted once the event is over and my domain will be gone forever. Hope this is really the game mode they were talking about in the special program and make it permanent.

I'm glad I'm not the only person who loves this event and the rhythm game one. In every survey I've done, I requested both (and windtrace too) to be permanent, and I guess it's finally happening!!! Hopefully the new game mode might be good enough to recreate events like windtrace, though I really do doubt it! I'm so excited!!!!!!!!

It seems they're finally realizing that user-generated content is a great way to keep players interested in the game. It's repeatable, fun, and optional. They're already making the rhythm game mode permanent, and I already know rhythm game enjoyers like myself will be enjoying the hardcore maps that other players will eventually make. Allow us to make complex puzzles and combat challenges through a Divine Ingenuity-like system too!

From the way they talked about it and from the job postings back in early 2024, it seems they have very large plans for it. They started hiring a new team for this in about February of 2024. They called it a "module", which makes me curious as that word choice seems quite different than a permanent event. Also, in the translated original job recruitment post it advertises this module "as important as the main body of "Genshin Impact." That's a pretty bold statement. It isn't just some event that they will improve a bit and make permanent like the newly permanent Rhythm Game event. Instead, they created a new team, recruited people with experience in making UGC games specifically for that team, and have been working on this specific module for at least an entire year. I expect it to be much more full-featured than the previous iteration.

Edit: also while other CC only talks about the boss reset and new banners, I know moosashi will not disappoint in delivering the most important news 6:10 the only gripe for me with the divine ingenuity before was the time limit (and no grass...) because I was having a particularly busy week. But if this became a permanent new mode, it'll rival or even beat my 3.0 update gaming streak. I spend almost 3 days playing genshin non stop back then, this mode being permanent might just beat that for me. Imagine if they updates it in the future and you can add terrains too... I'll be frothing lololol. Spiral abyss be dmned, this will be the new hell difficulty endgame with how creative players could be, I'm looking at you teapot mains!

imagine being able to use serenitea pot furnishings in those domains also now that i know this im gonna start brainstorming domains to make. i’m thinking it could be fun to use the programmable logic to make a true labyrinth, as in the maze paths shifting as you go, uncovering puzzles and chests as you get more lost. and maybe do a nod to the famous one in the myths and end it with a fight with a lawachurl (instead of the minotaur) or if they let me do a world boss maybe the mountain king yumkasaur. i’d need to map out by hand probably how the logic would need to work, but it’s a fun concept. maybe i could make a more narrative driven domain somehow. or make a domain based on that one quote from albedo about several oceanids. so many ideas

Wish they brought back an OG Theater Mechanicus. The one that had CO-OP mode and didn't had some braindead things like those turrets with homing physical orbs. I know that you can make Theatre Mechanicus in Divine Ingenuity, but it nowhere close to the OG event.

Maybe the reason to add new eternal game modes (first music, then domains) is because people are massively completing TCG recently. Many players already bought every card, every table, every card back, and every shiny version of a card either in 5.1 or 5.2, and soon there will be nowhere to spend coins. Seriously, after another influx of cards in 5.3 (or 5.4?), you can buy everything right on release without any need to grind, then quickly get your coins back to a limit, and not bother for another 5 weeks

I've been asking for this for two years. Perhaps someday they will add a pause for photos at any time (for example, like in The Witcher 3). By pressing escape the game already paused, but you cannot rotate the camera.

Considering it's a niche hobby (like playing music and card games), I'm sure they can save storage space and have more options available for the real enthusiasts (maybe tie it with AR and how having people rate/play your domains would unlock more slots) while those who don't care about it and aren't compelled can forget it exists. I wanted to make something last time, but the trigger-event system for item interactions was so broken, clunky and unintuitive that I deleted everything.

I made it into exactly one of the limited-time Ingenuity runs, and ended up spending most of it learning that Hydro Mimic creatures don't really move the way you'd expect once off a flat arena. (I was attempting to build a level in which you were forced to play Barbara doing Klee's job, leading a variety of mimics through trap-filled catwalks to get them down into isolated chambers that could be bombed to move on. It was intended to be part of a campaign of playing role-switched Mondstat characters. Unfortunately, without being able to lower the level of the mimics I could not figure out any way to switch their atttacks from "will kill you quickly" to "will knock you around everywhere and make herding them tricky".) ...Don't have the time right now, but will be happy enough to go for a second round of this; at the least it might become worth providing more feedback.

I think that's the first time I got a little excited for anything genshin related, I didn't know this event but if done well could allow to create some real fun things, I just hope the grid is system is not forced because it would be usefull to fuse some terrain or things like that. Also, I hope they realise that they can just allow the players to download their creation on their pc to save them, that way you can create every trial in your mind and not definitely delete the one you already made

My only concern is that TCG when it was added, there were no incentives or reason to return other than collect the new cards that get added per update. This is why many players ignore TCG (and even hate it). If the upcoming rhythm content actually has incentives to keep coming back into, it would be great. The upcoming DIvine Ingenuity should also follow the same principle...

If we're talking Primogems, I suppose the best option would be to rotate "HoYoverse Picks" of player-created domains once a month or something. Tie the Primogems to completing the showcased domains. And to incentivize domain designers, give them a large amount of Primogems if their domain gets picked. Maybe like...1600 - 3200?

My first thought hearing the new gameplay thing, maybe for a new element because we are moving closer to like a possible abyss like element as the game starts to reach its conclusion. Maybe especially that in the character preview we see Skirk and we know that she has no vision around her model the fact that it looked like abyssal element or something even its eyes looked like it. Or maybe for like Khaenriahn characters eg. Dainsleif.

Seeing Nod-Krai mentioned is surprising. Usually Hoyo adds new regions when there's a big version change, like 4.0 and 5.0. The fact Nod-Krai seems to be coming before 6.0 (mid 2025) says things will be very different this time.

I used to think flagship events like Midsummer Island Adventure were my favorite...but yeah, Divine Ingenuity: Collector's Chapter BLEW MY EXPECTATIONS AWAY SO MUCH that it was catapulted into my #1 favorite once I created my own Domains. I created a Plants vs. Zombies ripoff, a Nobushi torture chamber, and a basketball simulator. (Don't worry, my waifu Sucrose-Alchemical Ascension is still in my top 5.) Given that Version 5.0 made the system requirements stricter, particularly for mobile, in exchange for a higher Serenitea Pot load limit, I expect a similar expansion to happen to this permanent Divine Ingenuity. I also expect phone manufacturers and chip makers to step up their game-I still remember OnePlus officially stated that they have a lab exclusively for tuning their phones for Genshin Impact. I believe it was in a video by antonychenn with the Keqing OnePlus 12R? 5:43 My brain be like: "Look at what HoYo needs to do to mimic a fraction of the players' power." 6:33 I didn't really mind the "old ruins" theme but now that you mention it, it's a great idea to showcase a creator's aesthetic tastes or create a specific atmosphere. A Sumeru theme would work quite well for a PvZ-themed Domain, for example. I could use a Natlan theme for combat-focused chambers. Other than these, I wish for the following (though I have a feeling I'm asking for too much): - Designing templates for randomly generated rooms that connect together, forming an infinite roguelike dungeon. - More flexibility for designing buffs including custom conditions (getting healed, getting a shield, defeating an enemy, etc.) and how much we want to buff a certain stat (e.g. a slider that can increase Pyro DMG Bonus by 1-400%). - Letting players use enemies as allies kinda like how the tribal warriors help us fight in the Archon Quests. Maybe even pitting them against another player's units just like in the wargame events.

Add 4 coop 15-30min dungeons; locked at 1 character; high risk high rewards missions; remove time limited events along with unskippable cutscenes & dialogues; add weekly reset missions similar to warframes; add more item/utility items that enhances any characters kit (this will make the older character back the meta) I have c6r5 arle and the game is no challenge & reptitive boring.

Where do you get information about Divine Ingenuity? The only confirmed permanent mode we are getting is rhythm game as far as I know? I asked for Divine Ingenuity right after the event survey for that version was available. And not only me, plenty of people say the same. But even thought Hoyoverse did acknowledge that, they never confirmed that they will be adding Divine Ingenuity. EDIT: But you know what they should add to this mode if they ever make it permanent. Letting us build similar mini games that they build for co-op recently and in the past. That you can use X character with skill without cooldown or with lowered cooldown etc. That you can have to use certain character's skill to pass the test. Like that Yaoyao minigame for example. It would be even more interesting if you could set it that co-op players have to use different characters and use different abilities/roles to complete one goal. Asynchronized co-op mode.

I Loved those events and am super happy that they are comming back, I come from zelda games so I LOVE dungeon crawling and its sad that its only limited to a few domains in genshin and story quests and world quests which actually, only the sumeru underground desert had that feel of underground dungeon which I LOVE, I cant wait to see what people are going to make, I could probably also remake some of the zelda dungeons in genshin with it, it would be nyamazing !!!!!!!! also, the previous verssions of this event made me able to beat some of the combat achivements that require mixing up to 5 or 6 elements together and killing multiple enemies like that which isnt something that naturally happens at max world level I always Loved the teapot for all the customisation and making amazing looking places, but this time I will make functional dungeons and stuff, its gonnya be awsome, also something that I cant wait for is the platforming challenges that people are going to make, tho I REALLY hope they bump up the load limit because its absolutely tiny in the teapot and I can barely make anything big and detailed I remember having a lot of fun as a kid playing portal 2 in coop and I cant wait to have a similar experience again if they still keep coop working :3

I also wonder how they will incentivize it. Personally, I only care about the fun experience. After all, this is what games are supposed to be. But uh... I realize this seems to be an incredibly rare perspective these days.

I'm sure there won't be anything like this but just in theory they could do a "performance rating" meaning measure your device performance with some quick ingame benchmark and let gaming PCs access a super big load limit that would let's say be 30k and potato phones maybe 2k And when choosing domain to play it would spit out a big fat warning that you are trying to play a domain with many objects that is over recommend load limit for your device proceed with caution game might encounter instability and maybe even crashes when playing this domain something like that

They should add some form of competition/value to run on other people's domains. The creator has to put a reward token on one of his and try to get from others. After each cycle the top ranks earn some primos. Too hard and none will run, too easy, everyone will out earn you. Also create categories: combat, puzzle, traversal

Moosashi wanting to bring his own brand of suffering with having people fight multiple weekly bosses at a time actually sounds fun as hell even though I'd probably get my ass whooped. I was trying to figure out what the new gameplay mode was gonna be but Divine Ingenuity makes a lot of sense.

The most i had out of this domain was doing the tutorial and then doing the element namecard. Man, Genshin did not promote it for what it was.

I'd love windtrace as a permanent event. As someone who's creative, but bad at geometry and spacial organisation (although I'm curious if my driving lessons have changed that, since I'm genuinely better at processing visual input now than I ever was) I wasn't a fan of divine ingenuity but who knows, maybe I'll actually enjoy it

Devs already said it's a creation mode where players can use what's already in Genshin Impact to create their own puzzles and challenges.

Last I checked with the dungeon maker, I can't add B.S. bosses with B.S. environmental effects. Combat areas are always plain, and bosses have this huge arena where I can't put traps in it. How bout they remove that restriction? I know it's gonna be super unfair for mobs to have permafreeze or get ragdolled with constant overloads, but hey it's my dungeon. I have to clear it to upload it anyways to prove it's doable.

when I saw the title and thumbnail I thought they added a mode which disables quests so I don't get bothered by npc #17461 to start a random ass quest while exploring I am severely disappointed

I don’t get it. I play on mobile and my serenitea pot can only handle like 5 objects placed down at once before it hits load capacity. So now I will have the permanent privilege to play a game mode where I won’t be able to create good levels and playing them will just be getting trolled by enemy spam, platforming I can’t do on mobile, and puzzles that are too hard for me to figure out.
