I hope everyone realizes what a stand up guy Chris is. By that I mean he gives info out that most racers don't or wouldn't even consider. I'm very old school and I am under TOTAL lock down whether I'm working on my Harley Drag Bike, or my Blown Suzuki GS. But Chris, what the dang is Spinx gas ? No Chevron in S.C. ? Forget the 200 m.p.h. wheelies, now you're scaring me. 👍

Why don't you use carbon wheels on this bike?
@thenr694 жыл бұрын
carbon fiber no matter how much you try and make it better it flexes a little bit that why it has soo much tensile strenght it is ok for body parts, chassis, ornamental stuffand even for drive shafts but for wheels that small little flex might pop the tire off
@AlexanderPasechnik4 жыл бұрын
@@thenr69 do you mean that the rim can temporarily deform under heavy load? I've seen, for example, carbon wheels used by Frankie Stotz and some other fast guys.
@thenr694 жыл бұрын
@@AlexanderPasechnik not necesarily deform like in creating a defect carbon fiber as a material can never achieve complete stiffness it will always have a little flex and you have to use other material to stiffen the lip and if you change tires a lot it can deform more than expected it is ok for the road and normal use but in racing even cars use magnezium alloy wheels
@AlexanderPasechnik4 жыл бұрын
@@thenr69 It's just that there are so many riders now using carbon wheels in different classes, which is why I asked this question. The same Chris uses carbon wheels on other bikes.
@twistedtuningandperformanc77994 жыл бұрын
Just a guess,I’m sure they tried carbon fiber wheels already.But it may not have worked well with this build. compared to the others you spoke of who run carbon fiber wheels on there bikes.this bike is already extremely light without carbon fiber wheels.plus it also makes over 700hp which means it makes a lot torque at 3000-5000rpm (my guess 130-160lb-ft down low).a wheel too light in the rear with this build could possibly cause it to spin more easily when launching because of the torque it makes.A wheel too light in the front may not help keep the front down which hurts ET and makes it dangerous for the rider fighting the awesome wheelie from the 330’ to 1000’ 😎
