Hi Dennis thanks for showing this reel with no foot and handle. Most used reels have no handles!!!! I was always curious with that 😂 lol

This reel is familiar but by a different name. The machanism inside is much like a Daiwa Ocean Star No. 36 but the Ocean Star is a larger reel. The drag is identical. Very good video Dennis! - Chris

Yes, they are very similar reels! I think this one was made by Daiwa too!

I'd like to see a Frankenstein fix for that reel seat. Maybe some copper tubing with holes tapped into the broken arm. Above and beyond the call of duty, but a fun mash up for a shelf display.

Wow - that would be taking it above and beyond!

Never heard of this one sir. Down below Thomas says it's a daiwa seiko? I don't know but I did enjoy the video,/////bill

Glad you enjoyed the video, Bill! - It may be a Daiwa as they made a lot of trade reels for the time, including a model like this for Sears - Dennis

Hey Dennis, I enjoy these kind of videos. Good Job! Quick question, I heard you mention that this reel goes into your reel bin. I always wondered, do you document and keep inventory on all the reels and parts you keep in storage? Or do you do things by memory only? I imagine you have a huge stockpile of parts. Thanks and take care.

In my dreams I have a great system that details all the parts and where they are. In reality, I have some bins sorted by manufacturer and rely on my memory of what may be there to start my search when a part is needed - Thanks for asking - Dennis
