Four years ago I went on a trip to Berlin with my mom and sister, and we stumbled upon an exhibition of Parks's photography in one of the art galleries. It blew our minds. Thanks so much for bringing these memories back! Also, here's a quote from Parks that was used on that exhibition and it really sticked with me ever since: "What I want. What I am. What you force me to be is what you are. For I am staring back at you from the mirror of poverty and despair, of revolt and freedom. Look at me and know that to destroy me is to destroy yourself."
