Thank you for an outstanding video! We visited Manzanar in California and I did a short on that camp. However, my videos do not have any commentary. You have an awesome voice for commentary on your videos. We follow you on Threads and saw you link to this video. Just subscribed and am anxious to see your other videos. Thanks!

@@scottandtracytraveling Thank you, that’s very kind. It was a sad chapter in our country’s history! I have looked at some of your videos and I noticed that you don’t do commentary…just curious, why??

@@AnyWayYouTravel I currently don’t do commentary because I consider myself a traveler first and content creator second. A lot of my shots are “one take” as I pass by. I’ve been interested in finding a program to add commentary when I’m creating the video but I haven’t found one yet and am slightly technically challenged (and I don’t have a good computer- currently creating on an old iPad). So, basically I’m cheap, challenged and haven’t made enough effort to do it. However, you’ve given me some motivation to look into it!

Today I'm working in Cupar, Scotland. Here there used to be camps for italian-scottish people during the second war....

@@SamtheStoic87 that’s a really interesting story. I didn’t realize other nations did it.

Also please note that the locations of the camps were chosen by the Federal Government, based on remoteness. Arkansans had no say in this.

Great history lesson. I can understand the reasoning behind the Executive Order in the aftermath of the attack on Pearl Harbor. It was imbarrassing that such a thing was done. We were supposed to live by our Constitution which recognizes Human Rights thus making them Constitutional Rights. Sad act for sure. No wander attempts were made to erase the memories.

@GAFisherman Like you, I can understand their fear, but not their response to that fear. In reality, our constitutional rights only mean something if they’re exercised in measured wisdom. In addition, it should’ve never been done through an executive order. It should’ve been passed through an act Congress.
