Pakistan is not a export economy nor it has a robust tourism economy. in contrast sri lanka was a major stop in sea trade for a millenias even the oldest known ship wreck is found in godwaya which is right next to hambantota harbour. main objective of CPEC is enhancing pak infrastructure to relocate labour intensive industries in china. unfortunately precarious security issues hinder the progress of the project.
