Another meaning of vanara is va means closer or like and nara means humans. So vanara means like or close to humans. And not monkeys. Please stop calling Lord Hanuman as a monkey. A beautiful false story. Ramayanaya was written around 1000 years ago and talking about an ancient era. There was a no king called "Ravana" in Sri Lankan history. Only the Valmiky made-up this story to make anger Indian against Lankans. The truth is Buddhism was well established in Sri Lanka by the time Valmiky wrote his myth. So his pure intention was to send Indian kings to invade Lanka and destroy it. To do so he should provide a reason and hence he came up with this kidnapping Sitha's story. Names and the characters of King Rama, Sitha, Bharath, Lakshman, Dasarath.. etc were stolen from the original Buddhist story "Dasarath Jathaka". "Jathaka"s are the stories of previous lives of prince "Siddharth Gautham". So the "Dasaratha" jathaka talkes about one of his previous birth as the king Rama and how the King Dasarath died as his beloved Son has to parted away as a promise given to his second queen when prince "Barath" was born. Lord Buddha him self told this true story and later after another 1500years, a Brahmin Valmiky took the charatecters from "Dasaratha Jathaka" and made up his own story by adding a demon king called Ravana and so on. Actually in Buddhist story there is no such characters called Rawana, Hanuman... etc. When first queen died (Prince Rama's mother), Prince Rama and Lakshmana were banished by the King Dasarath as the promised given to second queen. Then both Rama's and Lakshman's sister Sitha also joined with them. Later King Dasarath died as he couldn't bare loosing his beloved sons. According to Kshathriya rules as there was no other Kshthriya princess to find when they were in the forest prince Rama married sister Sitha. These are ancient rules and not kind of a moden day taboo story. To keep the Kshathiya blood line and to keep the right to throne a Kshathriya prince must marry a Kshathriya princess and if there is a situation (Like in this story) where there is no other option, sibliling marriages are common among the Kshathriyas with proper marriage rituals. Kinga Rama lived 16000 years and the original Buddhist story talk about an era where human life span was about 16000 years. Only Indian and the closest countries around India who was taught about "Ramayan" belives about made-up story about the Ravan. Anyway after this made-up story, lot of South Indian kings invaded Lanka and destroyed ancient Sri Lankan kindoms just by beleiving Ramayanaya. Some people stayed in North of Sri Lanka and they spread the stoty about Ravan and Sitha. Then at British colonial period Sinhalese people refuse to work in tea plantations and then British people brought South Indian peoples to work in their tea states in Sri Lanka. Also the labour cost was so cheap with Soth Indians. These South Indian people then named hill country places according to Ramayan story. So they named places like Ravan fall ( a water fall), Ravan palace, Sitha Eliya... etc. I think 99.99% Indian never heard of the true story( first story about the Prince Rama) "Dasarath Jathak". They belives the made-up story "Ramayan". We can't accuse as Hindinism has gone into vains of people and they do not wish to or even think about a different true story. What to do still Indian belives about this made up story and Ravan and burn a dummy of a Ravan and curse Lanka for kidnapping the Sitha. Anyway Valmiky's plan was successful upto some level and thus South Indians began to hate Lanka by believing a Asura king called Ravan. By the way I should tell you now a days some idiot younger generation kids in Sri Lanka also blindly belives about the Ravan(they haven't read even Ramayan and not know about even the Dasarath Jathak) and think he was a hero and that man will rise from a sleep and his preserved body remain somewhere in Sri Lanka. So now I have given the fact to check. No offence but the truth remains as truth.

King Suddhodana was prince Siddhartha Gauthama's father. He had few brothers and one of them was king Amithodana. King Amithodana had a son called "Pandu" Shakya (Shakya clan). Pandu Shakya had one daughter (Bhaddakachchayana) and 7 sons. Bhaddakachchayana princess came to Sri Lanka and married prince Panduwasadev. Then 6 of her Shakya clan brothers (except the eldest brother) came to Sri Lanka and stayed here. That's how our lineage connected to India. We are the only nation still maintaining a written history(Mahavansa) from the begining of our nation. Without mahavansa you would never identified the King Ashoka. Because in India they only knew his other name "Devanam piyadassi". It's our Mahavansa proved that Devanam Piyadassi is the king Ashok Maurya. Mayurya wansa (Maurya clan) also started from same Shakya clan. Chandragupta Maurya's father is a decendent from Shakya clan and prince Chandragupta survided (If you have seen the film Bahubali you know how his son survided when they were attacked by enemies, same way baby prince Chandragupta was survided in a hermitage until he was found by Chanakya.

His son was Dhammasena. King Dhammasena's son was Nagasena. King Nagasena's son was king Samatha. His son was Disampathi. Disampathi's son was king Renu. King Renu's son was king Kusa. King Kusa's son was Mahakusa. Mahakusa's son was king Bharatha. King Bharatha's son was king Dasaratha. King Dasaratha's son (successor) was king Rama. King Rama's son was king Vilaratha. Vilaratha's son was king Chiththaransi. Chiththaransi's son was king Ambaransi. King Ambaransi's son was king Sujatha. Sujatha's son was king Okkaka. ...... All these kings ruled in Vārāṇasī (Benares) I know you would not find these great lineage even in Vedas. We have it bro.
