BEWARE: Avoid or Mostly don't steer the wheel when the car is not turned on. This will damage the strip(inside the steering horn box). If it is damaged, then the horn won't work and you have to replace the strip which will cause around 3K. I recently experienced it.

Please don't change to neutral when the key turn off or break failure or steering control failure when moving fast. please step down gear one by one until first gear.Because the first gear engagement will stop the car in less distance than other gear. But the neutral don't help to stop the car. If there is down slop the car continuously move. Don't worry for engine lubrication. Meanwhile you can try to use any of the breaks.

I met d same situation, while driving in slope engine offed due to battrey low. Steering, break not worked. Thank god, no crowd that time, I control anyway n parked car on road side. Somebody helped to recover. If low battery in car, put 2nd gear and push d car and start engine, it wil work.

Folks. Please take this very seriously. My experience is going to be lengthy but I request you to read it. I also met with an accident 5 years back because of this. Fortunately noone was hurt but the car was slightly damaged. It was in office parking ramp. I was not used to climbing a ramp and how to manage the clutch, brake and hand brake at that time. While I was climbing the ramp and about to reach the flat surface, the dumb security stopped me and let the BMW go which was coming in the opposite direction in the flat surface. It was a deep slope and I was stopped at the peak. So to start the car again I gradually left the clutch and started the accelerator. But it wasn't done properly and so the car stopped. I pressed the brake and put the hand brake. As had hand brake, I removed my leg from the brake. The car started going backwards. I was frantically pressing the brake but it didn't work and got hard like said I'm this video. Later I wondered why the hand brake also didn't work. It was because the car had full load, 4 of my friends and it was a steep ramp and the hand brake should have been pulled very hard to the top. But I guess I pulled only 80% or so. It went backwards and hit a side ramp wall. Luckily no car was behind and no one was walking behind and none of my friends in the car got hurt. Old vehicles will have hydraulic brakes and so it would have worked even after engine is stopped. But new ones are electrically/electronically controlled. Imagine if it had happened in a hill station. I am all glad it happened before and I learnt it.
